i think 15 yr olds should because they are responsible for jobs and they become young adults. Some 15 yr olds dont want to keep asking their parents for money because if they do then they get told to do what with the money, so if they have a job they can pay for anything they want .
I think that it is BS that we have to go and mow lawns and stupid shit like that till were 16 i mean really 15 year olds can handle a job its not to hard i need to make money my parents are tierd of supporting my ass!

i am 15 years old and i am dyin 4 a job but some people think that 15 year olds cant do the job like 16 year olds some of us can do it better than 16 year olds if they just gave us a chance we can show them that they made a huge mistake and then parents tell us that we need 2 b more responsible and we need 2 stop beggin 4 money we want to get a job so we can show them that we are responsible and we arent goin 2 beg them 4 money and now we jobs and we cant get them becuz we are aged impaired(under age) and that sucks
i am deffenetly capable of having a job. im getting my licence soon and i do need to save monney for a car and gas. i would like something to occupy my time and i am a very responsible person and i know i can handle the responsibility
I think they should make it 15 n older for us to work. RIgth now i need to work because of family things but i cant because the limit is 3 hour which i think is unfair. THEY SHOULD CHANGE IT FOR 15 YEARS N OLDER

I am 15 1/2 and my parents won't let me go to the DMV to take the permit test until I get a job! It wouldn't be that unreasonable if someone would hire at 15. I have been searching for 2 weeks and everywhere I look requires at least 16 years. It's so frustrating!

I think that 15 year olds should be aloud to have jobs. We are able to have our permits and we are in highschool. That makes us no different than all the 16 year olds. I think all businesses should lower their hiring ages to 15.

I have the same problem like everyone else, my parents are pressuring me into getting a job, i go and ask every where but nobody wants to hire me, i turn 16 in 3 months, we're old enough to work. i dont want to be depending on my parents, i want to start to learn how it is to be independent. The sooner you start the better :]
I agree that 15 year olds don't get any chances to work anywhere. I turn 16 in a few months and my parents are pressuring me to get a job for summer. But nobody wants to hire a 15 year old!!! It's irritating because we can do work just as well as 16 year olds!

I dont even see the difference between 15 and 16. I need the money really bady right now, and i am turning 16 in around 2 months, but this summer is the only chance i have. Becuz when i turn 16 i will be in school...
my family is going through rough times and we could use some extra money and i can't get a job because i just turned 15 sure lawn care and stuff pays alittle but i want to be able to help my mother out she tries so hard and i just feel helpless i would work as hard as everyone else but i guess that doesn't count for much these days huh?
I'm going to be sixteen in August, but heh. I need money now.. My parents can hardly afford food and pay the bills as it is... We could use the extra money. Please, be a little more open and accepting about this stuff, if you're hiring people... As long as it's something that we can handle, and that the law will let us do.
most of us oon this petiton are 15. And we all are trying to look for jobs. i stand strong for every word created on this page. Just because we are 15 doesn't mean that we are incapable of working. Some 15 year olds that want a job. could be the best employees that anyone could have! i to went job hunting..but time, after time, after time i was rejected because i am a few months short of 16. i will be 16 i November. With being freshmans in highschool and having everyone around you having a job and their OWN money kinda excludes you. Mommys not going to pay for everything once you are old enough to work! 15 year olds should be able to work because they are just as capable of working as 16 year olds are and it's not fair because some 16 year olds are irresponsible and supposedely just because you are a year older you are more mature, well that's not true in most cases because there are way more 15 year olds who are more mature and work capable than 16 year olds!
I think 15 year olds are just as responsibile as 16 year olds and some teens dont have parents that can pay for everything and give them anything they want. There are some teens out there that need a job to survive or to get by. i think we should be able to work if we go and sign up for a job and pass the interview.Dont you think so?
Yea, I'm really bored this summer and need something to do. Teens need to be able to work to get an idea of how there future life will be. Other places besides grocery stores and mcdonald's should provide jobs for 15 year olds.
