A public skate/bike park should be built in Montville Township, New Jersey for many reasons. A few of them include skateboarders and bicycle riders being "kicked out" of places to ride for years.

Skateboarders and Bicycle Riders are not often accepted by society and government because the activity is often taken part on other people’s property, and they are known as being insubordinate to authority. If a skate/ bike park was to be built in Montville, these problems would be gone.

Montville has always talked about how the town and entire country is so obese. A skate/bike park is a great way of exercising and would help kids lose weight, because it is more fun to many people than organized sports.

Recently the Montville Township Committee spent upwards of one million dollars on a dog park, which has never seen more than 3 or four 4 people in it. It will have to be taken care of in about 5-10 years and redone. Skate/Bike parks cost less than a “dogpark”, and many well professionally built skate/bike parks last upwards and usually more than 30 years.

However for a skatepark to last as long as 30 years it must be built professionally and made out of concrete.

Another thing about skate/bike parks is that bikes are usually not allowed and are prohibited. The only reason for this is because that the word "SKATEPARK" does not include "BIKE", but that is like somebody saying I am going to "Xerox" that letter when you could be using a different companies copy machine. Pegs are often thought that they destroy the concrete, when the skateboard trucks, or axles are made of metal also.

Skate/Bike parks also keep kids out of trouble. The kids, instead of riding down the same of street of road day after day, they decide to start drugs or abusing your body. When the kids have a skatepark to ride in day after day and learn new tricks they want to keep doing it, and won't let anything get in their way.

There are many ways to get a skatepark in Montville Township, if the town makes a budget and separates a plot of land upwards of 25,000 square feet, then this could be very possible.
