Please stop giving people in CA more excuses to move out of this state.
Bikers are perfectly willing to address trail conflicts and issues head on and work towards resolution. We're willing to train/educate and perform trail work.
Closing more trails, will certainly lead to people riding in illegal areas.
I support this petition. A trail that was once open to both hikers and cyclists should again be open to all. Cyclists are willing to share the trails. Everyone else should be too.
As a state representative for the International Mountain Bike Association, I am well aware that bikers don't impact the resource as much as horses. Bikers also provide more volunteer hours per capita than other user groups. Shutting out a valid and active user group is elitest, discriminative, and down right WRONG.
I support this petition. Shared recreation will benefit the silent yet true majority of the responsible trail users, who should be afforded the opportunity to recreate.
I support this petition. I find Eq only parks to be elitist and class driven. Most bicycles aren't worth a month's worth of feed and care a horse requires.
Why should those with the most money and largest SUVs get "their own" recreation area?
I support this petition and the concpet of multiuse trails. If the trails are wide enough for two horses to pass one another, they're wide enough for 3-5 cyclists or pedestrians in the same place. If they're not wide enough for horses to pass, then bar the equestrian access in the interests of trail safety and habitat preservation.
I support this petition. It's STATE recreation area. LAst time I checked, riding mountain bikes was still recreating. Maybe horses and jet skis are the only way to style in Oroville these days???
If all the trails in the country were multi use. Would there trail over use? No! Logic say's if thousands miles of trail were open you would see a bike every once in awhile like hiking.
