There is a chronic problem that persists in our nation’s approach to assisting economically underdeveloped nations. If we ever expect to find a viable method by which to contribute to Africa’s economic growth and sustainability, there must be a fundamental shift in our paradigm. Consider this. Lending financial support to African nations will make no lasting difference unless long-term, systemic solutions, replace short-term, ineffective interventions. If we do not strengthen the ability of African nations to shoulder their own burdens, then many of our efforts will remain fruitless and counterproductive.

With this truth in mind, “The Mosegi Project” was developed and launched by our company, Mosegi and Dukuzumuremyi Tailors. It is a $1 billion plan to build the largest garment factory in Ghana over a five year period. Liaisons in The UK, Nigeria, China and Ghana are all collaborating in support of this project, but we cannot accomplish this awesome task without your help. Mosegi and Dukuzumuremyi Tailors have successfully secured the expansive building site, which spans across 100,000 acres of land in Ghana.

This venture will cost an estimated $200 million per year for the next five years. We have already invested $5 million of our own funds into this project, and will continue to pay 5% of the annual costs until we successfully complete this great undertaking. To ensure that there are skilled Ghanaian workers, we have organized a joint effort with China and Japan to implement a stewardship and training program which will equip and employ roughly 5,000 workers over a seven-year period.

For over two decades, Mosegi and Dukuzumuremyi Tailors have specialized in producing custom-made men’s shirts of the highest quality. Our business has expanded into the international market, and we are currently selling our products in Nigeria, Ghana, Togo and South Africa. The numerous alliances we have built through the years, have taught us that the state of our global economy inevitably affects the state of our local economy. Let us become more holistic in our view of the world, as we each take part in this wonderful opportunity to lead a nation toward productivity and prosperity.

We have written numerous letters to government officials, corporations, ministries and other individuals who purport to be supporters of African nations; and now, we are appealing to you. The Mosegi Project is a solid plan with many core components in place, and we know that it is only with the help of supporters who truly care, that this plan will become a reality.
