Symphonic and power metal are still my #1 though, with death and black being the least. Growling vocals just don\'t cut it for me.As for pop, I think most American pop stars are a load of bull and find Asian pop music to be better. Just listen to samples of some great stars such as Utada Hikaru. Go up on youtube and type up Passion, and listen to it. Absolutely beautiful music.There is only one American pop artist that I think deserves the recognition that is long overdue to her: Corrinne May. She\'s come a long way from Singapore just to make it big in the U.S., even leaving behind a dying parent to fulfill her dream at studying music at the Berkely College of Music, and then going on to become an aspiring singer/songwriter. Ok most the people here probaly couldn't come up with a decent reason if they tried. Anyways Metal (and rock in general). Pop basiclly means that you dumb down your music so that it appeals to the masses. By this I mean it's basiclly in it for the money not the artistic passion. The good metal is actually some of the most musically great music made within the last 50 years. and there is also bad (pop) metal bands. These include Poison and Slipknot. Both these bands are overly simplified and/or just randomly bashing around on the instruments without any thought.

Classical music is the ultimate high, if you listen to anything else...your a dumbass
