I support this petition. Music or any creative art at a young age (elementary/high school) is necessary for the expansion of the creative side of the brain. Specifically music engages the mind in the creativity of the brain in a way that no other form of art can. This leads to success in the academic world, and the social world. It is vital that music stays in the public school system so that children have the opportunity to engage in programs that will lead to a solid and successful future, academically, socially, and creatively.

I support this petition. Music education is absolutely essential for a person's self confidence and it is proven to increase cognitive abilities. It also produces well rounded individuals that can work well collaboratively with others. Also, those who take music are less likely to drop out of school. Keep music education in schools!!!
