BRITAIN’S biggest fun park has sparked a race row — with a MUSLIMS-ONLY day.

Up to 28,000 are expected at Alton Towers on September 17 when there will be no music, booze or gambling.

Instead there will be prayer areas, Muslim stalls and all food served will be HALAL.

Non-Muslims phoning the Staffordshire park have been refused tickets.

One, George Hughes, 19, who rang up for 15 tickets for a pal’s birthday, said: “I couldn’t believe it.
“It’s the only day we can go, yet I can’t because I’m not Muslim. Can you imagine all the fuss if there was a Christians-only day?”

If you think this is Wrong, and is dicrimination against other Religions then sign this Petition. It will be sent directly to Alton Towers on AUGUST 31st 2006.

I just want to say THANKYOU to ALL of you that have took part in my PETITION. I received an email today from ALTON TOWERS confirming that the MUSLIM DAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED! So this petition need not go on anymore... ...Once again, Thanks to ALL that participated.

They are slowly taing over this country! I have just emailed this as a fake request to see wha they do...I'd like to make a booking for 100 WHITE people to attend Alton Towers, can you please tell me how I go about doing this?

I think this is a disgraceful idea. It is discriminatory against non-Muslims and I am surprised it is not illegal. I have no problem with Muslims or any other ethnic/religious group living in Britain as long as they are prepared to integrate. They need to accept and adapt to British culture and they should not expect our society to change for them. This ridiculous climate of diversity and inclusiveness created by our politically correct government just results in positive discrimination for minorities and alienates the indigenous population. It encourages resentment, it is gradually destroying Britain, and in the long term it is not in anyone's interest.

totally support this petition...i will email this on to my mates.We couldn't move at southend yesterday for muslims and do you think they wanted to queue up like everyone else..no they wanted PRIORITY..Why are they so special? Why do they get their own day at Alton Towers? they have their own places of worship to pray.Next time i go to the towers i will take my crucifix and shove it in their faces!

Muslim Day is not going ahead, I received an email from Alton Towers after I made a complaint about this: Thank you for your recent email. Alton Towers is disappointed that the planned Family Fun Day on Sunday 17th September has had to be cancelled. This was a private event, but insufficient ticket sales have meant that Islamic Leisure was unable to fulfil its contractual obligations and so have taken the decision to cancel the event at this time. The Park of course will now open as normal on the 17th. We make no distinction regarding sexuality, religious, ethnic or lifestyle choices - all we ask is that they behave well and responsibly when they are with us. If an organisation wishes to hire the park or hotels for a private function, we will always work to ensure that we are able to deliver what they want from the event - and in the past this has included large corporations; as well as many other business and social groups. The organisers of the event had always extended the invitation for all members of the public to join their event.
