Marvel vs Capcom always was great. I don't know why but their roster kinda "fits" for such a game. Too bad they can't put Batman in it as well, since that's the only (and best of all) good superhero in the DC universe. Including his villains of course. Yea I said it, DC sucks except for Batman and related :P
Which is why I won't be picking up MK vs DC, probably. Maybe for cheap because of Batman and Joker. Maybe. It really doesn't do anything for me to have Superman or Green Lantern in a fighting game, sorry.
Marvel VS Capcom 2 far overshadows its predecessor. MvsC 2 is a very fun game. It doesn't play classically at all, but I don't care. I have the other Street Fighter games for that. It's its own series, so it's not as if it were messing anything up. I love the hyper chaos of that game. The weird character roster is fun to mix and match. If they made a 3rd one of these, I'd buy it.

I don't care what it costs I must have it. I would buy a brand new system no matter which one just to play this game. I would spend thousands just for the chance.
I'd love it if they made a new Marvel vs. Capcom game... But I would rather they spent the time to make it new and exciting... better HD sprites and better/new moves...
Wouldn't it be awesome if Capcom were given the reigns to do a DC vs Marvel fighting game. Now that would simply be the comic book game to end all comic book games. But mvc3 would also be a fighting game to end all fighting games.

To be honest i would rather have MVC3 over the new SFIV. Now if you will excuse me i need to find my MVC2 copy that i have for the xbox and play it until my thumbs bleed. =)
See, the the thing that makes a MvC game 10x better than MKvDC, is that MvC isn't like, 90% spider-man or other popular heroes. I can play as SPIRAL, I can play as MARROW, I can play as fucking OMEGA RED.
MvC3 will be great, but they should fix the utter brokenness that is Cable/Storm/Sentinel/Magn eto. MvC2 at highest level play degenerates mostly into teams comprised of these four people.
it would be truly awesome if they have multiple modes like 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3. mvc2 was too advanced for casual gamers. this game needs to attract all gamers.
I like fighting games, but I rarely really "get into" them. MvC2 (on DC of course) did it for me, though, and I would love to see a third. HD hand-drawn over-the-top sprites ftw.
I really hope they make MvC3. I played 2 a lot and I got a copy of it for free! It's so crazy how expensive it is right now. If they do make it, I hope it stays 2d or at most 2.5d.
The main reason I love MvsC games is because its one of the only games that does not butcher the characters like all the other Comic book games seem to. I am salivating over the idea of this game. Mainly cuz I need my Gambit/Omega Red team fix, and this is the only place I can do it.
HOLY CRAP I CAME. Say what you will about the game, but there has never been a more feature packed fighting game since then. Sure, the balance could have been better, but in my mind, there hasn't been a more perfect fighting game since MvC2. 56 QUALITY CHARACTERS FTW.
MvC2 is my favorite fighting game next to SF2. The only possible reason for them not having released a third one in my opinion would be licensing issues. I'm sure they know how many people loved MvC. Everyone I've ever showed it to loved it.
I not only support this petition, I would personally volunteer, to work WITH/ON the design team and all other teams for FREE, of my own free will, to make MvC3 a reality. If made the way I see fit, the game would be everything everyone would want MvC3 to be, in my humble opinion. hehe
I starve and crave for an MvC sequel, period, but with HD graphics and PERFECTLY fine-tuned online versus play with other players, all over the world. Even if not in 1080p resolution, I'd be happy with 720p. Hell, I'd be happy to play it on the Sega Dreamcast if need be!
