My Chemical Romance, as you probably already know, is a rock band from New Jersey. I have read a few articles in newspapers and on the internet which are labelling them as "emo" and blaming them for preteen kids slitting their wrists. These articles also tell us how to spot an "emo" in the crowd. However, I don't agree with this. Once again, the media is telling us how we should act, and what "category" we should fit into. I got instantly shoved in this category, because of the way I dress and what music I listen to. These articles I have been reading only encourage others to call me "emo" even more so. It's very aggravating. Do participate in this petition if you agree with this paragraph. Thanks.
