OH I miss it! Tried quicken & got sick of all the adverts poping up every time you pressed a key, so we went back to MYOB.Does anyone have a copy of V11
I'm currently using v9, v11 and multi-user v11. They all work great with workarounds for all contingencies. Shame on Intuit for discontinuing support (precious little as it was). I have personally boycotted all Intuit products which isn't hard because they are cumbersome, call 'home' repeatedly and are NON-intuitive.
Message for Don Z. - Contact DirectUpdates.com for multi-user capability. You may have to get a copy of v11 to do it though.
We need an OSX up-to-date version of MYOB in Canada. What MYOB did when they sold the product in Canada and what Intuit did was close to criminal. Surely the agreement has expired by now. Let's hope MYOB does the right thing an releases a new version for Canada, soon!
Not impressed with the costs for Intuits software, poor suppoprt for small business with only a few employees can not justify spending $20/month just to enable us to record payroll costs.
I have been using MYOB since version 7, need to upgrade and it looks like I have no options. MYOB is not avaiolable, not is simply accounting for Mac nor Quick Books, so what is left?
Based on the comments in this petition, I agree with them, MacUsers are being jeeped. I would like info on the possibilities I have left open to me, but I would prefer getting a current version of MYOB to upgrade my version 7 for Mac OSX tiger
MYOB is a much better and easier accounting program for accountants. I mean accountant not someone with limited or no accounting knowledge who think that Quickbook can save their proper training course on accountancy
I've used MYOB since version 3 and it was the easiest, most straight forward accounting program out there. Down with Quickbooks...long live MYOB!! Bring it back to Canada!
what Intuit did should be illegal. I also will NEVER buy an Intuit product. I tried Quickbooks right after Intuit assassinated MYOB. Compared to MYOB, Quickbooks is pathetic - I could not possibly run my business on Quickbooks. In fact I would go back to paper first. We need to get MYOB back. MYOB rocks!
With little more than a onth to go before the five year deal between Intuit Canada and MYOB, it's time to bring AccountEdge back to Canada — especially for the Mac.
MYOB is still the best & most affordable small business program, & would be embraced by a presevering user base. It could expand once the non-competition agreement with Inuit has expired. Please allow MYOB to resume in Canada, either independently, or as part of MYOB USA.
My 5 year old MYOB 11 is in many ways better than any current small business package, with ODBC and other updates it would again command great market share. Please update again.
Intuit Canada should be ashamed of how they have treated Canadian MYOB Customes. This is the 2nd time they've left us in the dark. The 1st time was when they dropped Quickbooks for Mac. The U.S. division needs to take over. I will never again purchase anything from Intuit. MYOB USA is the best accouting product out there. They are constantly upgrading their products, unlike Intuit Canada. Shame on you!!!!
I truly hope MYOB will return to Canada. It had the winning combination for user friendly and reporting detail. I would certainly be on the buyers list, along with the majority of my clients.
Intuit needs to either release a Mac version of QuickBooks with full equivalency to the MYOB feature set (eg. Multi-currency) and a exhaustive data file importer, release current MYOB versions, or grant MYOB the ability to take over support for Canadian clients which you orphaned. Your actions have a direct effect on businesses customers accross Canada and border on gross negligence.
I fully support the petition. MYOB is indeed excellent accounting software, easy and simpler to use as compared to currently available package. MYOB has right level of complexity so anyone get start using it quickly. Intuit purchased it just to kill a better one and eliminate competitive product. Quickbooks is not that quick to use. Since MYOB Canada was purchase by Intuit most likely is not possible to bring it back, unless is recreated under different name. Unfortunately MYOB Australia might not care.
