À quand à nouveau MYOB pour le Canada?
Je désespère de trouver une mise à jour de MYOB à un prix aussi bas que j\'ai eu au début qui fonctionnera sur mon tout nouveau Mac ET je ne veux pas changer de logiciel comptable... alors je travaille encoooore sur mon vieil ordi. Pas très réjouissant.
MYOB coming back to Canada? Don't hold your breath. Acclivity has acquired MYOB US and is only considering supporting Canada. In an email conversation with an Acclivity rep I asked if they are paying royalties to MYOB (the original developer), no answer. I asked why we should trust they won't dump us "for what ever reason suits them", again no answer. MYOB (AccountEdge) hasn't changed much in the last 8 years. The interface is not entirely Mac OS X native, in fact it's a hodge podge of the original strange sizing features and some Cocoa updates. It shows that not much has been invested in developing it. Acclivity can't be trusted when they have announced this "2009 update might be our last payroll update depending on the number of users of the Windows edition". I've decided to switch to MoneyWorks. I'm not crazy about the interface but it does have a lot of similar features and it's a lot more Mac OS X like. I've been a Mac user since 1988. We've been burned a few times, even recently, by developers dropping critical business software support for Mac. We're running a business, not playing games. I would rather see a petition for a class action lawsuit.
I support this petition. Myob was always the most intuitive of all of the small business accounting software - simple and to the point. I am sick and tired of playing around with the Australian versions to make them work here.
I support this petition. I wanted to add that we bought the US version AccountEdge NE 2004 using a US address for shipping - and then got this working in Canada. Can't do payroll, but everything else works well. You have to flip the currencies (Make USD into CAD) and setup sales tax codes, but we have run this for nearly 4 years flawlessly. Cheers!
I support this petition. Boy, I have switched programmes three times in the past two years and want to go back to myob but I need the GST tax codes. I really, really, dislike the other programmes.
There's clearly demand for this software over Simply (no integration) and Quickbooks (not quick) so not selling it here is just revenue lost for no good reason.

Being a small business owner who has used MYOB for years, I have found it to be easier to understand, use, and get the information I need. I really don't need the learning curve or effort of moving to another solution.
MYOB Plus 11 meets my needs, and tax tables are being updated by good people. But I must move to Vista someday and have no need to change accounting packages.
MYOB is hands-down the best value for the price. Intuit really upset a lot of MYOB users when they bought the rights and then dropped support in Canada.
I am so frustrated with Quickbooks for buying out MYOB! It is far superior to Quickbooks and Simply Accounting, yet so simply laid out. Please bring back MYOB to Canada! I can't switch to Quickbooks because it just doesn't do half of what MYOB does.
I run a couple of small businesses. MYOB is by far the best and most user friendly accounting program. I am waiting now for 5 years to get it back to CANADA and to get and updated version When will this happen ???? I hiope soon
I've been using small accounting programs since 1988. I looked at bigger programs and never switched o those because absolutely nothing offers a better value, easier to use full featured accounting application than MYOB. Forbidding Canadians to use the latest version of this program gives American business a clear advantage.
I have used MYOB for 6 years. Because of a computer failure I will now have to use the vista operating system, please update MYOB so many people use it!
I have consulted in Finance software for 12 years and have never found a product better for the small business owner than MYOB! Bring it back.... please!!!
Been using MYOB since version 1 up to V11 and for both Mac & PC platforms. Nothing can compare with it designwise and featurewise. Please bring it back to Canada..
