This is EXTREMELY important for us artists! Why it hasn't already been done for those of us who are artists, I don't know. But I do know from expereience that it is hard to get your stuff out there to enough people on your own and we could really use this platform to let the world see some great things are being created by some extremely talented and unrecognized artists!
I support the petition because the term "starving artist" should be a thing of the past. A myspace art page would be great to gain some exposure and to show that the field of art has much to offer even though many take our talents for granted and don't appreciate the time and thought that goes into our creations. I hope the petition helps us all in the end.
I support this petition because it's a great way of getting your work seen by a wider audience. Free. And the feedback can be very constructive to all involved.
I work just as hard as a band or songwriter. Why shouldnt I be able to have my own pro myspace site too? Im have started the very hard, very long climb to the top and think myspace is a steping stone for it. I agree...lets start the ball rolling!
as an artist & musician I feel another outlet to show artists work on Myspace would be hugely beneficial just the same as the music side of myspace has been.
The art field can be the hardest field to find any work in. I believe that visual artists need this help more than any of the musicians or film makers or comedians. Not to say they don't deserve it, but it's our turn dammit! We're strugglin trying to keep traditional and modern art alive. I say it's time we get this ball rollin!
bacause artists can benifit from this. Myspace has access to such a large amount of people, it would be a great networking oprotunity. Besides myspace already has sections for ever other art, we feel left out. We desearve some recodnition. Please make this happen.

I wrote almost the same petition on my ARTblog! Great minds think alike... YES ARTISTS need to be more visible on myspace and need branded pages and a big gallery with thumbnails linking back to their pages which could be done like a big group... Why do Visual Artists get treated like second class citizens? My Space can change that and give US the respect we are due!
I support this idea. I think we need a way to set up networking on the site, and create ways for artists who for the most part work alone to connect and network,.
Oh yeah, Myspace definately needs to be more artist friendly... although they have a book section, a film section, a music section, a film-makers section, Blogs for the writers and COUNTLESS artist groups broken down by genre of art (music, painting, et cetera) for people to look and post in. Yep, more ART I say!
