As a graphic artist and photographer, I would love the opportunity to be able to share my artwork and talent with the myspace community and get in touch with other artists.
It would be retarded for MySpace not to add Artist profiles to their current list of specialized pages. Music, Film Makers, and Comedy pages obviously don't encompass all of the artistic fields. If Artist pages aren't already planned, they need to be added to the to-do list.
speaking for myself and I am sure other artist out there it is such a competitive field that there has to be some kind of blockage to take the work freely. Otherwise, I am all for it!
I support this pettition, but you have to think about theft of your work when being presented in acommunity as big as myspace. Its much easier to protect music format files than it is image format files.
