If it tried to appeal to adults, I would not like it at all.
You might not believe this, but adults aren't all that interested in ninjas. Toonami is the perfect place for it.
Naruto is definitely NOT a kid's show. Putting it on Toonami is just going to ruin the show through censorship of blood, comical mischief, and other things. If aired on Adult swim, the audience would be much larger, the thousands of people who watch the series already will probably watch if it's done right, and there would be no need for any censorship, which can completely ruin a series.

If Naruto is put onto "Toonami", it will undergo in major editing, such as the blood, Harem no jutsu, and of course our favorite ero-sennin and his peek holes.. You see, Naruto aired in America will NOT be the same Naruto in Japan, because the Japanese are more carefree of their children, and in Japan Naruto is rated PG-13. In order for Naruto to keep a similar substance like in Japan, it MUST be aired on Cartoon Network's ADULT SWIM or it will basically be another POKEMON type show.
I've been watching the Japanese naruto for a couple of years now. If they show it on toonami, it will be ruined. It will probably be ruined on adult swim too, but I'd prefer it on Adult Swim because it won't be ruined as badly...
I've been along time fan of Adult Swim. ATHF, Inuyasha, Full Metal Alchemest and FLCL have been my favorites but I think Naruto would make a good improvment and appeal to all your viewers
If it is put on adult swim we can have a unadulterated and unedited version which will be much more popular. It has bloody scenes which if on toonami will be altered and thats bad.
as an avid naruto fan, i was appalled to find that cartoon network was putting this on toonami. i watch the fansubs every week, and i like it the way it is!! this is the greatest anime and it should be minimally edited- if at all
Just to let you know i agree with you all it should be in Adult Swim so it still has some bloody action scenes stay in it (like the chidori scene where kakashi kills zabuza) but just to let you know I saw an interview with the creator and it was intended to be like DBZ but it didnt and thank god for that. But i also Agree Alex that naruto should stay in Japan so it doesnt end of like some gay kittie show.
alright first off demon im sorry but i want naruto to come to america...if the butcher it there is always the uncut dvds that will be sold.... second please don't let toonami get their hands on it they'll kill it like 4kids entertainment did with Yu-Gi-OH and some other good shows i use to watch
None, but don't butcher an amazing cartoon, because you want to spoon feed it to the kiddies.... There are plenty of other cartoons in other mediums without butchering Naruto!
What makes me most disapointented is that companies dont take time to realy watch the shows and see true value than just its a kids show or too bloody blah blah... naruto idsnt like dbz.. theres value into it kids in japan can interpet but kids here in american who are closed minded.. If u put it on toonami you are goimg to edit it the crap ot of it and destroy everything,
I agree with everyone here. I can see real movies with real actors getting edited, but having to edit a damn CARTOON obviously means its intended for the older teenage-like crowd. We all know Naruto is not a "pokemon". But, to be completely honest I'd much rather have Naruto stay in Japan. I like being a naruto fan, as soon as it comes out on toonami its probably going to become the next DBZ or pokemon. I like naruto and all but i'd rather prefer to not see half the people at my school with a naruto t-shirt on, playing the naruto trading card game, while playing the new naruto game boy game. AND then, go home and watch the crappy english dub naruto on tv. I mean, DBZ was probably the best dubbed anime out there so far considering they didnt make the characters sound stupid, but after hearing the characters voices for 123 episodes, i dont really want to hear it in english. I like reading subtitles and having the authentic japanese voices. Whew yea thats all i had to say.
i think Naruto should be seen on adult swim just becuz...NARUTO ROCKS!!Its mostly for a mature crowd to watch to me and toonami has all that bs cartoons exept Dragonball Gt...besides that its massacre to put it in toonami -_-;;...anyways in adult swim it would be better suited.

this is going to mskr me cry... the manga which I have been following since nearly the beginning (almost 4-5 years) as well as the anime, in true japanese, it's going to pain me to see it on american tv. Why did my favorite show have to fall down the path of darkness?!?!?! Seriously though, adult swim would allow Naruto to not completly die... god... I don't want to hear the translated voices... it's not like one piece... how the hell is kimimaru going to make it as well as the hillarious jiraya scenes? They're going to massacre it on regular CN... please put it on adult swim for the sake of sanity... Just out of honesty, I really think Adult Swim would be the better venue. In contrast to the bright bubblegum visuals, Naruto can at times be /very/ violent, especially as the series goes on. Rather than have to cut large portions of footage, it seems wiser to air it at a later time, in a block designated for older viewers.

Naruto is at the top of my best anime list ever. When it is aired I just hope that translations will not be butchered. The language in it is vulgar, compared to American animations and i don't think kids here in america are mature enough to handle a little bit of "****" and bloody violence here and there, so adult swim would be the best solution for it. Please do not mess this show up.

Who cares if it's been licensed and it'll be dubbed for Toonami or Adult Swim. I'm used to watching anime fansubbed. It'll still be fansubbed by some other group. Just like what happened with FMA (BTW the dubbing sucks major @$$!)...So, Cartoon Network, DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH NARUTO...

naruto is the best manga/anime series ever. if they put it on toonami then it will reach young veiwers and they will have to butcher all the best parts out!
cartoon network already owns its apparently. now they should be smart and allow AS to air it. It would save it from being butchered by editting and censorship.
