To me, I think that Naruto will be overedited on both Adult Swim and Toonami (Although I'm going to have to say that I really, really wanted it to go on Adult Swim). Nevertheless, it's impossible for the creators to edit the show so that the content satisfies everyone. Being a long time watcher of Naruto, which, in my opinion, is one of the greatest animes, I can't help but wonder how the network is going to show certain points (like Naruto's signature "dattebayo", which will probably be edited out, or the names of the techniques, which I think sound really corny in the English manga compared to the original Japanese, not to mention the names of the characters). I think that's what I'm anxious (both in a good way and bad) to see the most. However, in the end, I think that a good deal more people would appreciate it if it was on Adult Swim, rather than on the younger-age oriented Toonami (I'm especially curious to see if they are going to show the bloody scenes, or the dark pasts that many of the characters have.)
Personally, I'm signing this not really to say "Don't put it on Toonami," but, rather, to say "Don't over-edit it like CN does to most anime that they get ahold of" (Need we bring up the vast amount of DBZ editing that occured?)
Naruto is a very good anime, they should let it be on adult swim so it they don't have to replace some scenes like when naruto stabbed his own hand, into him holding a lunchbox and apple
I don't know what the heck toonami is doing by tanting a anime like Naruto. NATHAN?? I don't think very many naruto fans wold apprecite this is the kiddy this very mature anime. I'm 20 yrs old so i don't waste my time with toonami anyways, but adult swim ill wait up for that. I will continue watching the anime in jap anyways so i see it the way the writers intended the show to be. I am completly against putting the anime on toonami just becasue it will become like dbz and pokemon ended up. Over saturated chopped up. But if they put it on Adult Swim i will be happy with it.
I think Naruto should go to AdultSwim instead of Toonami. NO offense to anyone, but Toonami is like, to me anyways, great shows edited into kiddy shows. AdultSwim is perfect for Naruto. Naruto has blood and stuff, and AdultSwim is made for kinda bloody anime. Naruto is a great show, and it's no fair to us [meaning people who haven't watched the anime in American or whatever language] have to somewhat suffer editing of the awesome fighting experiences of Naruto. Some of us don't have the money to go buy the Naruto manga that has been comming out, and we look forward to watching the pure anime. Sure, you can change a few things, maybe change the dialoge a little to match American [or whatever language] lip flaps. But don't change things like the name of the anime, the NAME OF THE CHARACTERS. Especially the names of the characters. We Naruto fans want Naruto in pure anime goodness!

Naruto, is more then just blooshed and fancy ninja action. The anime is a complex web of metaphors and clever storytelling. Firstly, this might elude the younger viewers, because it requires some form of maturity. Also, by editing the storyline, you risk to disappoint the thousands maybe millions of naruto fans around the world.It is for those reasons and so much more that you should put naruto on Adult swim.
i have seen the entire naruto series and although it has the ability to appeal to younger viewers, one of the main componants of the series includes bloodshed, cursing, and hand on combat. I believe that the network would distroy it by editing and getting rid of these factors. Plus these types of things appeal to adults to, making the viewing audiance of a greater sum
I belive that naruto is one of the best shows I've seen and in adult swim the editation would be less severe. Therefore the story would reach its full meaning instead of just partial insight and meaningless chapters in a series that can be far greater than all of the cartoons in toonami put together
Leave art alone. Editing kills the artist's intentions. You'll have more committed viewers if you can develop a following in the older age group on Adult swim, and they have more $$$ to spend.
Naruto is a great anime in it's original form. It IS more mature than all of the shows the shows on Toonami, and if all the mature scenes were cut it would just be totally butcherd to pieces. A show like Naruto obviously be put on Adult Swim.
Naruto is intended to be a darker series than the other anime shows on Toonami. It won't fit with the shows already on Toonami. However Naruto will fit very nicely with the shows on Adult swim. Also to effectively edit Naruto to be shown on Toonami, you'd have to cut way too many scenes. OV

Toonami will make extreme edits to cater to the young audiences, but its real audience should be older teens and adults, therefore Adult Swim should air it not Toonami. I want to see the blood, action, and even swearing to enjoy the show on how it should be- uncut.
Putting it on Toonami might boost the ratings, but c'mon, that'll mean that they will make extreme cuts and i would not like that atoll. I have watched subbed eps of 1-55 and i love them, so please bring it to Adult Swim where, you CartoonNetwork, wont have to edit.
Toonami is a segment for young children, I watch the japanese version and think it is more worthy of a later segment so more mature individuals can enjoy the show.

Seriously.. listen, If Naruto stays on Toonami and gets butchered to a 8 year old show, the ratings for it will go so low it will make me throw up. Naruto is my all-time favorite manga/anime. I mean, come on. It's epic. When I heard it was liscensed to Toonami, I was heartbroken, in a sense that Toonami also plays slaughtered One Piece and things like Zatch Bell. The truth is, Naruto isn't a show to be aimed at younger children. It's a NINJA anime, for jeez sakes, and they plan on cutting all ninja-ness out of it. I think putting it on Adult Swim would be a MUCH better idea, thus, I offer my signature.

i HAVE KEPT UP TO NARUTO AND I ENJOY IT VERY WELL. tO ME IT IS BETTER THAN DBZ AND IT COULD BE BIGGER THAN DBZ IN AMERICA. aND FOR IT TO BIG BIGGER I THINK THAT IT SHOULD BE ON TOONAMI. I think that they should have it on adult swim. I am 16 and you know, I am aloud to stay up that late. I also agree that she shouldn't have it on toonami. That or they should have toonami run later then normal. But I still think that they should have it on Adult Swim, because there are a few mature things within this manga/anime that shoulder be veiwed for children under 11.
Naruto is a very good manga and I want it to be on the cartoon network channel, but on adult swim. The shwos full metal alchemist and Trigun and shows like that aren't on toonami, because they have adult content and gory scenes. Naruto does have this, so it should be put on adult swim, for those who are mature enough to handle it. ok i have said my peace.

Naruto is and cannot be for young children, its more of a teenager and up view with some adult comedy, the Sexy No Jusu, the basis for an entire episode is a naked woman, suitable for adult swim... but not lttle 9 and 10 year olds.
Naruto is a show made for adults, more or less, and to change the context of the show is completely ridiculous. I never really wanted it to come to America, and this is why. If it must, though, I want it on Adult Swim.
If you watn to stay true to the story, please put it on the Adult Swim block. I would hate to have to import the DVDs instead of watching this great show, which everyone seems to think that it will be horrible, and I agree with them. Expect a lot of hatemail.
Please don't turn an enjoyable anime series into an over-commercialized, immature kiddie show. The thought of first grade kids walking around sporting Naruto backpacks and lunchboxes really makes me feel ill. Butchering a TV show that comes from Japan just because its a "cartoon" is silly. The entertainment industry doesn't cut scenes from foreign films, so why should a foreign TV show be any different, even if it is a cartoon? "Cartoon" does not always equal "for children." Please keep this in mind when deciding what audience this show is best suited for.
