I haven't watched Naruto yet, because I hate fansubs with a passion, but I have heard abotu it from the people in my Neopets guild, and it sounds interesting. I was happy when I heard it was being dubbed. I will watch it no matter what. I don't think it will be any close to the same as it was, and there will probably be a riot on the Gaia message boards after it airs tomorrow, but I will watch it anyway.
In other words, no matter how much it sucks, I'll watch it.

naruto would not be naruto if they will cut out a lot of scenes just for the kids who would not understand the true essence of the story of naruto. and yeah i've seen how they dub in toonami, it sucks real bad!!! it will all just be cute and cheezy like. so go for adult swim!!!
Even though I was excited about Naruto being dubbed, I was upset to learn which company obtained the license and that it would be on Toonami instead of Adult Swim. Who was the stupid **** who decided this?
Hey there, I'm a huge anime fan and have enjoyed most of the dubbed anime that CN shows. When AS started showing anime I was even more pleased. Because of CN/AS I've found tons of great stuff to obsess with. FMA is my current obsession. And now you're bringing Naruto. Sadly you're brining it to Toonami. From what little I've seen of the show it's pretty graphic and you'll end up having to edit a lot of the great scenes in it. I'll take this moment to point out that your censoring of Rurouni Kenshin left holes in pieces and parts that I only cleared up by reading the manga. Don't do that to this wonderful anime. It's trully not fair to prohibit us all from seeing the 'real' Naruto.
As a follower of the series for a long time, i have to say that moving Naruto to Toonami would be a bad choice. It's a violent show and adult swim would be the best place for it.
Sadly i live in the uk so if it isn't on toonami i won't get see it in the uk and the uncut long running series dvd's pretty much never come are way except for the begining so far of yu yu hakusho and fullmetal alchemist.
Howver i believe that you should and i mean SHOULD put the two versions on tv. The uncut for adutl swim and the cut for toonami. But i'm not really that worried since i don't have adult swim. When the uncut dvd's are available i'll be the usa imports. You supply i'll be buy!
toonami has screwed up a lot of animes, but now they've gone too far with naruto. naruto is the best anime i've ever seen and if cartoon network is gonna show naruto, they should show some common sense and put it on adult swim. i, like many other people who have signed this petition, believe that naruto is way to mature to put on toonami. theres too much violence and blood to cut out, and there are mature themes and and complex emotiions that younger viewers wouldn't understand, but are crutial to the storyline. i don't see how toonami is gonna show any fights when they can barely show nosebleeds. i'd prefer that cn didn't get their hands on naruto at all, but if they are gonna show it, save it some digniy and put it on adult swim.
Please don't put naruto on Toonami everyone on Gaia is saying that the "dubed" version is going to be horible like "One Piece" and I liked One Piece until I found that out there are also rumors that they are going to change the gender of one of the charaters and that just totally ruins the anime right there and i'm a teenager put it on Adult Swim I watch Inuyasha every Saturday and people say it's dubed but not badly dubed like One piece and it doesn't seem dubed at all it's a great show,oh and don't edit it either I want to see all the good parts because I have read the first two manga's and I loved them they were very funny and I want the same thing for Adult Swim otherwise I will just be watching Inuyasha
It would be better to have Naruto on Adult swim, mainly because of the fact that it will not be as watered down and people will capture the true escence of the series. I can understand editing in certain circumstances, but the series is not necessarily for younger ages anyways considering the content. So please; for the true Naruto fans; keep it the way it is supposed to, and move it to Adult Swim so that younger groups will not watch it and angry soccer moms will go on strike and biting peoples heads off. I'm curious as to how it would turn out, but it would be sooo much better for [AS]. It may seem as a very childish anime at first, but it contains many themes/emotions that only an older audience would really understand.

Well Naruto is 1 of my favorite anime. Besides bleach this tops all others. I watch toonami evry now and then and i see shows ive seen on adult swim and they just completely ruin the show and especially with naruto. if they edit Naruto it would be ok for some of the smaller kids but the show would suck compared to what it is now. DON"T RUIN THE SHOW ALLOW IT TO BE SHOWN ON ADULT SWIM WITHOUT EDITING THAN BE ON TOONAMI!!!!

naruto is an anime ulike any i ever seen. now i saw some of the anime on toonami and they were kinda good but i know they must have been better if it wasnt edited. naruto is like a anime only for us teens fourteen and up not for those who are 12 and under. now ive seen the show from the begining to the latest with some in between that i havent seen. there is alot of seriouseness in the show that is mainly for us and not for little kids. puting naruto on adult swim would give the show a boost of ratings because for one thing it already has a fanbase and we all like it the way it is. if u dont put it on adult swim and on toonami then consider yourself screwed because we all know the show would be heavily edited like rouroni kenshin and we all wont watch it. if u want it to have high ratings and be successfull in america and make alot of money then put it on adult swim. all of us dont want to see a wonderful and enjoying anime be ruined with edits and probably bad voice acting. we all appreciate if u also keep the original japanese opening/ending themes since it sounds better than wat it might with american music. try to keep everything original and AIR ON ADULT SWIM. the anime would better off there then toonami. the show is not meant for kids trust me. alot of blood and sexual stuff and not perfect for toonami. if u do air it on toonami then prepare to recieve alot of hatemail this year because we wont let the anime die here. we hope the dvds are uncut AND unedited with the original everything and be released twice eevery two months. we buy that instead of watch it on toonami. now remeber this: toonami sucks, adult swim rules. please put naruto on adult swim.
Putting Naruto on Toonami is like putting a drunken hobo on the Teletubies. They would have to cut alot out so that it would be "kid rated." Please put it on Adult Swim!
Naruto is a great anime, and I would rather watch it on Adult swim. But supposebly it will come out on video as the english version unaltered. That sounds like a fine alternative. Watch the dvd

"Naruto" is an awesome anime,
and it is a beautifully orchestrated, work of art, almost every aspect of it is in a way perfect. If it is altered in any way that detracts from what was intended in its creation then I suggest all of its fans simply resist watching it. It would be much easier if you imagine a bunch of eight year olds "pretending to be Naruto and comparing it to Pokemon... I can only shudder at the thought.
Having read all the manga and seen all the shows, in order to edit Naruto for American children it would have to be completely mangled. Please put it on adult swim so it doesn't have to be destroyed!!

I do feel that we will lose alot of the manga/anime if we allow it to be shown at a time where children of a certain age would be able to view it. And Im sure that parents would have complaints about things like the "Sexy no Jutsu" and they would be edited or removed. Simply put, the show would be better if aired later at night. Another option to solve this, which would be very unlikely to happen being that it would take up too much time on the network. Would be to have two seperate airings of the show, one early for the kiddies and one on Adult Swim for the more mature fans who hate seeing such great animes reduced to nothing but mere marketing stratagies.
I have seen many Naruto (some legally, most illegally >.>) and from the crap dubbing (no offense) from say One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh, it is most definate that Naruto Will be edited for viewer puposes because anime is surprisingly interesting more and more children. My brother who is nine, loves the concept of InuYasha , Moblie Suit Gundam SEED and of course (his Favorite)FLCL.Of course I have told him that there is much more profanity and blood and gore and etc. in the original undubbbed versions and he even complains why they can't just leave it. I am Against it being edited too much for losing the main themes that they ARE ninjas and ninjas DID kill people way back when and it is just wrong to edit out extra blood etc etc. Since ADV films is dubbing I believe it might not even be that bad...If they put it on [Adult Swim] considering that it is more suitable for most people who can actually get this channel ^-^ (yes I am canadian but i get cartoon network but not toonami T-T) I would love to see it dubbed and compare it to the original version! In conclusion, I believe it should most likely be put on at night and actually get on there!!!

well people im 13 and i say your totally right althought i haven't seen not a single episodes, manga, or dvd i can say it so way not for kids. althought i am pretty young to consider myself an adult i agree tht if my brother that is 8 years old will bug me to explain why a character did this or why a character did thAT . By reading some summaried about some of the episodes i can see that there's gonna b a major editing if they air on toonami. Hey and who says inuyasha is crappy ? >:( althought i bet that was edited too . But people think about this im only 13 and i can sit still throught all the adultswim shows from 11-5am something and see naruto , and all that bloody/sexynojutsu/violen ce stuff . So if i can do it can't any other kid under my age? Heck i know this 10 yr old that stays up later than me on saturdays. And tht just one of them . Naruto is a great anime, and I think they should keep it they way it is, ORIGINAL. No edits. That's why I say that it should be on Adult Swim! I wouldn't like to see such a great anime, become bad.

I have never seen the show before, but its popularity has brought the show to my attention. I don't mind if it stays on Toonami except for the fact that it is too mature for younger audiences.
Naruto shouldn't have been dubbed in the first place, It deseves to be in Japan, with it's awesomeness still intact. If it is going to be on TV, it should be on Adult Swim and NOT toonami.

WHY would you put it on Cartoon Network in the first place? You would have to get rid of many things from the show seeing as how it is MEANT for an older audiance. It's a bit mature for the 8-year-olds out there, you know?

Naruto would be better suited for Adult Swim, because on Toonami, younger kids hardly over 10-years-old would not understand the significance of what the series symbolizes. It has morals to teach, and it is best to reach in audience that can understand these things and be able to apply it to themselves. Not only will the moral aspect not be understood, but the endless terms used with techniques, names, villages, and people will only confuse younger viewers to the point where the series means nothing but bland entertainment to waste their day. Also, the full impact of Naruto cannot be reached when battle scenes are edited or cut. In general, the graphic material is NOT meant for the Toonami audience, and recent episodes continue to be in that same graphic nature.
Naruto is not a children's anime, and I think it's ridiculous that you're showing it on Toonami. Just because it's possible to take out the blood and swearing and sex jokes and whatever does NOT mean you should do it. True, Naruto is not by any means dirty and it is a cute show, but it is not for children. I mean, there are crap shows like Inuyasha that are on Adult Swim, so why can't Naruto (which is better by far) be on it too? Heck, you can even show the unedited version on Adult Swim and then you won't have the problem of trying to clean up scenes to make them appropriate for children.

Toonami is for kids! It deserves anime such as pokemon where the characters can't even kiss, it desrves Yu-Gi-Oh & Duel Masters where card can't show blood! That acceptional for a show like toonami! Naruto is a show that belongs infront of Samurai Champloo on toonami where we can enjoy our blood and humor with out the bad dubbs, toonami is going to do to it. You can take an adult anime and turn it into a kid show. Naruto is for adults, from 17+ age. Americans who have heard about Naruto and never seen any of the Japanese Anime have waited for the moment where they could finally see ,and understand it, but what fun would it be if your not having the privilege of enjoying the series just as it was enjoyed in foriegn language? It just wouldn't be the same if we didn't have the privelege to enjoy the humor, blood, and gore as everybody else who still enjoy the foreign version. Adult Swim is the only way i'll feel like i'm watchin, and living naruto like the way i love it now in a foreign language! Peace
Naruto is more for the kids 14 and up, it needs to be on adult swim, the story is much better told in a mature manner, and if you put it on Toonami chances are some things will be left unknown to the viewers like the Harem No Jitsu (combination of the shadow replication and temptation no jitsu techniques) and people need to see Rock Lee in his pure form after fighting Gaara, battered, bloody but still determined to fight, and I think Adult swim handles anime a lot better than toonami does, I mean Full Metal Alchemist could be a lot worse if toonami had it, oh and if this rumor about Renaming Naruto to 'Ninja Kids' is true, I think that you will have a lot of people wanting your heads

You have no idea how they're going to treat this, reagardless of whether its on Toonami or Adult Swim. This could be one of the best dubs ever, you have yet to see it. And you think simply putting it on Adult Swim will make it a better dub? By being licensed, Naruto DVDs are almost certainly going to be released uncut and subbed, meaning you can all go out and support Masashi Kishimoto. Oh wait, no... You're all still going to illegally download fansubs. At least you get it free right? Why should you guys have to support the man who created this series?

Although Naruto features children and young, it's an older audience oriented production. Turning it into something a 5 year old can undertsand undermines the genius behind the work. I personally think that a Dub would be nice, but pronunciation is always off, and many things are bound to be just, well, messed up. Please, don't butcher this work, give it a space in Adult Swim or something, someplace relatively safe from those would turn Naruto into the next Pokemon or Dragonball Z - a butchered edited pile of nothing.
personaly I don't mind it on toonami as long as its not edited or any thing is taken out. since they will most likely edit it, then adult swim, they where smart about fullmetal alchemist, so lets hope they do the same here. also , they shouldn't dub it in english what so ever, they are going to get the name pronucations wrong no matter what so just leave it in japanese, people need to read more these days anyway.
The show, while it is about children, is not exactly made for kids. If Toonamis target Audience was say 5 years older, it might work, but for now, they still focus on pre-teens and the only real place for naruto to belong would be on Adult Swim.
This seems too adult to put on Toonami.Even though I've only watched this until episode 14,I can tell it is sick to hear that they let kids watch this.Episode 5 shows loads of violence at the part of Naruto's promise,and episode 1 and 2 shows the horifically explicit Sexy Non Jutsu(although it is fun to do in the game).
The licensers need to take a look at the episodes being released now in Japan. It's nowhere near toonami material. Adult Swim is needed for this show, not only will it make fans happy, it will also bring in more viewers.
Dont not put this on toonami. It is as others said a violent cartoon not meant for children and should be put next to Paranoid Agent and Inuyasha. It will take months for the editing and such as Dragonball Z to come to the states. Please this show isnt meant for the children watching this show. I have cousins aged 5-10 watching Toonami with shows like Totally Spies and One Piece and this will corrupt thier minds with violence if shown uncut and will ruin the storyline if cut.
