We have been saddened to hear that Passions, possibly the most creative and satirical soap opera in the history of television, has been canceled. Why do this? To add an extra hour to the Today show.

Here's some programming advice NBC:

If I slam my head into a wall, it hurts. Doing it again won't make it hurt any less. Don't think we've already forgotten the monstrosity that was the 4th hour of the Today show. It will fail, just as the last one did. Passions had a small, but loyal group of viewers. Do you really want to lose such a dedicated audience?

Please give this television gem a second chance at life.

Starting on September 17th, Passions will begin it's 9th season on DirecTV's the 101.
