I am 28 and have been told that my tubes have probably been closed since birth. I am extremely eager to become a mother an cannot afford IVF on my salary and the realization often makes me depressed. I deserve fertility coverage considering the amount that I pay each year for insurance that I barely use.
My husband and I are willing to do IVF but without the help of insurance, we can\'t afford it. I think all insurance companies should cover something if not up to 100% when it comes to these type of things.

my husband and I desperately want to have a child and have had a miscarriage since we started trying over a year ago. We need genetic testing to determine that cause of the miscarriage and are undergoing some fertility meds now. The doctors have said that I could have repeat miscarriages costing my insurance and employer thousands of dollars in hospital bills and time from work unless we can find and prevent the cause... which can only be done by testing that we cannot afford because the insurance we already pay and arm and a leg for will not cover testing because it's considered fertility treatment.
As a woman who can become pregnant, but faces repeat miscarriages I am imposing a greater health risk on my policy without the use of ART or IVF because of the chances of harm to myself or giving birth to a child with severe medical issues.
We are already dealing with infertility stress.The insurance that we are paying for won't even help us. I don't understand, insurance companies will pay for numerous cosmetic surgeries but we have a health condition that we did not cause and it won't even give us a chance. I have spent numerous thousands of dollars for treatment s and my insurance won't even pay for my condition. I am paying for someone else's problems. We should not even have to be begging for help. We pay insurance and it should be 100%covered too. I think we are being discriminated against and I won't stop until we get treated fairly.
because everyone should have a fair and equal chance at having a family. Infertility treatments were created, not there should be a gov't standard for those who choose to use them to afford them.
because I have been paying for all treatments for infertility out of my pocket. VERY expensive.If they can help with abortions, they must be forced to cover this too.
