Neopets.com has added a new feature to their site, Neocash (Not to be confused with neopoints...) With Neocash you can buy wearables for your neopets, sort of like a virtaul pet version of Build-a-Bear. Sounds great right? NOT! It's not the Neocash itself, it's how you get it. You eaither buy a $10-$25 Neocash card at Target,Walmart ec, or you use Paypal to get the coveted Neocash. I personally love Neopets, I think it's a little ridiculous to have to pay real money for a virtaul site that your kid will probaly outgrow in a few months or a phase that lasts a few months, am I right? I understand that Neopets needs money to keep the site free for everyone, but they should get pleanty from merchandise and the ads and sponser games they have on their site. If they REALLY need the money they get from neocash, why not stick a code for some on some of their merchandise? (They have a virtaul code on their merchadise which can be exchanged for Neopets things in Neopia, the world where neopets takes place) They could have some merchandise with the virtaul item code, or a Neocash code. I mean, neopets is a very cool site for kids or kids at heart (Like me!) but why spend money for Neocash when your kids could just easy use that $25 for a new pair of Hello Kitty or Spiderman shoes?
