I came all the way from Albania to watch red sox, now my stupid cable system, tele-meatheads, refuses to offer nesn. I go to the dish. bye tele-meatheads.
right on S., you're the man! there's no excuse that rotten telemedia refuses to get nesn. when all of waterbury & the surrounding towns have a dish & telemorons are left with 100 customers, it'll be too late for them. we are in the 21st century - get with it!
Your company is being unfair to red sox fans .You slammed the Yes network on us. i dont care about the subscriber cost. There are thousands who will pay.
Red Sox fans deserve to see their team just as much as, if not more than, Yankee fans. At least NESN doesn't have a biased shill machine like Michael Kay on their network.
I have written to the manager of Adelphia who owns Tele-Media and to their customer service and was told that they would look into getting us NESN...I am not holding my breath...probably Yankee fans!!!!
please no pretty please add nesn to programing i just spent $150.00 for mlb extra innings just to watch red sox games lets be fair to all baseball fans lets see yankees fans have YES and mets fans have MSG so why cant sox fans have NESN
Give us NESN. We are sick of paying Tele-Media for YES and other NY stations we don't care for. We should just give DirectTV and forget about Tele-Media. Telemedia must be owned by the Yankees.
i have been a sox fan my whole life yet i rarely get to watch games. like many people i am considering getting a dish strictly to watch nesn since its obvious tele-media does not care about the concerns of its customers
The excuse is we don't want to raise our fees to all of our customers, so that some people can watch Red Sox games. Now I'm not a Red Sox fan, but there is no reason I need to have BET on my cable when I don't care to watch a racist program, but I'm being forced to pay for it.Same thing for the Hispanic programming. I can't understand it, and don't watch it, but I've got to pay for that crap too. I'd galdly pay the extra dollar to have my friends watch their home team. I'm not sure if it would help, but a call to the DPUC might be in order for all of those people who receive no response to their phome and email messages. I work for a public utility company, and if we didn't return phone calls, the DPUC would fine us!
Dish Network, here I come!
I first subscribed to Telemendia Cable when I moved into CT from California in 2000. I was excitied to finally be lving in New England, where I would be able to watch the Red Sox play all sSummer long. My disappointment in not being able watch what is certainly one of the "local" sports teams, sooned turned to frustration when several e-mails and phone calls to Telemedia to express my feelings went unanswered. I pointed out in those e-mails that whatever their assumptions about the allegiances of local sports fans, one need only pick up the paper to see that it's pretty evenly split. In 2003, I simply couldn't wait for next year any longer. I cut my Telemedia subscription back to "lifeline" basic and got DirecTV. I now have access to every Red Sox game - as I should living in New England - it is afterall the NEW ENGLAND Sports Network.
I'm only 3 hours from Boston, but I can't see Red Sox games unless they're on NYC Local Channels, ESPN or the YES Network??!?! You have to be kidding. Michael Kay is terrible and I'm tired of Yankee propaganda. Get me my NESN!!!!
Had direct tv moved to Wolcott could not get direct tv because of trees in way of signal but am now thinking of cutting trees so I can watch my sox this season
Why not offer it on just the digital package. There, it is a win-win. Tele-Media will sell more digital subscriptions and the people that want NESN will get it. Add the charge to the digital.
As a life long Sox fan (79 years) and a Tele-Media customer I think my 30 year of service ha come to an end. No NESN means no Tele-Meda anylonger for me. I hear Direct TV has NESA and it lookslike they will now have my business.
telemedia is always trying to get us to buy digital cable, and I tell them No RED SOX, FORGET IT!!!Bring back our SOX!and I wouldn't buy anything from them till the SOX have been on our t.v. for a minimum of five years.(just in case they try to pull a fast one) I don't trust them!!!
Please give us NESN, unless Tele-Media/Adelphia has stock in local sports bars in the Waterbury area where I can actually watch the Sox, this is just not fair.
Listen Adelphia. The RedSox are the world champs. Time to give the customers what they want. Its not fair to put the YES network on basic and force everyone to pay $2.00 and not offer NESN.This is NewEngland in case you forgot. So get it done or I'll come back from the grave and open up a can of woop
I currently subscribe to DISH Network specifically because I cannot receive NESN on your cable system. I live in Beacon Falls. Your company's decision to force subscribers to pay for YES and refusal to agree to the deal to allow subscription to NESN has cost you this customer.
How can you NOT give New England Sports fans NESN? It's rediculous for New England sports fans not to be supplied New England Sport Network. Must be a Yankee fan making the decision.
This is crazy. Did you notice all of the Sox and the owners were saying, "This is for New England" not just parts of it. You don't hear other teams, Yankees, Mets, Jets, Giants saying "this is for the tri-state area" The Sox are New Englands team. Waterbury should have NESN
With the NHL lock-out I'm dying to see some Hockey East college hockey. Unfortunately without NESN this is impossible--so frustrating. Tele-Media is driving me to visit Sports Bars with satellite dishes.
Is there anything that can be done with the state DPUC?
I am sick of just getting the Yanks and Mets.
TeleMedia Sucks, Telemedia Sucks, Tele MEEEEDDDIIIAAA Sucks
I am from Boston and I just moved to Connecticut, and when I found out I would not be able to watch the Red Sox and the Bruins from my cable company, I cancelled emidiatly. This is barbaric. What kind of "New England" do we live in when we can't watch "our" sports teams play. It's bad enough we don't have a team of our own in this state. Direct TV it is!!!
I don't want to switch to the direct tv, but you guys give me no choice. I just moved to CT from MA, and when I found out I wouldn't be able to watch the Bruins play, that's all I needed to know. I am cancelling cable!!!! GIVE US NESN!!!!
