Because im 12 an i figured out that kids that are pre-teens 10-12 are more good at saving up because they first want something so they save up then they find something better and keep saving until they can buy it, and then learn that saving is easy and good. Then they learn a life lesson. Also most grown ups just spend it on Dumb stuff! and other stuff that is no use to them! So i really want a job i live in portland OR. so yeah.
I am 12 years old, and I believe minors should have MORE rights than just jobs. By age ten, my IQ was proven to be 168, beyond genius. I know how to drive a standard and automatic car, and I\'m starting my pilot\'s llicence (my uncle\'s friend\'s wife is an instructor). I do several online jobs ( flash creation, scripting, software designing) under a false name and age so I can make money without discrimination of my age. I have written two novels and a documentary on machine history 1895-2007. In my opinion, kids should be given rights, but only the ones that can prove they deserve them.

I support this petition. I want a job to support my family. After all, money is tight now and it is hard to get your parents to agree on buying you those cute Italian shoes. I want a job also because I want to pay my own way into camp and college, evn though that is far away. 12 year olds should have paying jobs. Even if it only pays minimum wage.
