I'm tired of doing little jobs like dishes and stuff for a quarter, it will take forever to save up for something I want. I am willing to do jobs to get $.
hahah fags, u r all twelve, wait a couple years, find a buisness, like catching fish and crab, taht what i did, it costs 3 dolllars a day, and the pier, made 4 thousadn in the summer, going every second day, the reason u dnt hav a jib is becuz u bitch about it on the web, instead of doing sumthing, mowing lawns is money,it isnt a REAL job, but it is money, i wouldnt want a 12 year old makign chicken, and teh other reason they wnt higher u is cuz demand for work will go dwn, making u parents getting payed less, meening u work even more, but in the end getting poorer, dumb KIDS NOT EVEN TEENS YET!
There are many people that are under the age of 14 that can be just as great of a worker that was say 15,16,17,or even 30. Age should not matter when looking at jobs.Imean after all dont children under 14 have more energy than say some one 20 and over?
I agree, i would love to have a job, it help me get all of the things that i want. My parents cant always provide me with what i WANT. I am trying to get a laptop.At first i didn't tink anyone else would agree with me!

i think that is so messed up for people to not let you have a job when your 12.i just turned 12 in june and im looking for a job beacsue i want money and something to do.

I Hate that we cant work. Most 12 year olds are more mature then 16 year olds because we are not hooked on to drugs and unless we can i think the drugies will start increesing at a younger age because we have ABSOLOTLY NOTHING TO DO!

I skipped ahead in school, and although I am only fourteen Ii am a sophmore. I have to be a junior before i can work, which is a big deal because every penny I earn goes to my college fund. I haven't found a job yet because where I am it is still not legal. The earliest jobs are at fifteen. I will hardly have any time to get a small amount of money before graduating high school. If it was based on education, say-eigth grade, I would have enough to put in my first semester payment after scholarship. I don't want other kids to have to struggle as hard as I will.

I agree, im poor, and i want to help. Its just retarded to have a 14 year old work if they dont want to and im 12 id love to. Seriously, id happily work 8 hours a day for 4 dollars an hour, without benefits thats a lot of money for me. If i start at 14 ill need a car and start saving for college and a house, if i start now then i can finish that way quicker. If no ones forcing us to work, why cant we?

I need a job now to buy stuff like guitars and upgrade my computer but I can't make enough through allowance and I already know more than some people at computer shops so I could work there but I'm too young (13)....
I think it is a good idea to be able to get jobs when you're 12 years old because if we want something our parents will say you have to save money and we want to have money so when we get older we get a nice car or buy our own clothes

kids can be smarter than adults at times, so not letting a twelve year old with good skills would count as ageism. i 100% support this. i am twelve and planning on getting a small job at a barber shop or a variety store.
i think we should be able to get a job at 12, do things, anything, to get some money if we are willing to. I have so many things i want to buy, but have almost nothing to do to earn money. as long as no one would take advantage of me, i would like to work somewhere! i mean really.
