hola,soy latinoamericano(chileno para ser exacto),bueno,para todos los latinos que lean esto,y si un estadounidense entiende español,les quiero decir que nos apoyen en corregir este error grave que esta cometiendo nintendo en llamar a su nueva consola wii.Osea ,todos los fans de nintendo nos encarillamos mucho con el nombre revolution y que representaba una verdadera innovacion en cuanto a gameplay ,mas que nada,el nombre era sinonimo de perfecccion unica en los videojuegos pero wii?,no significa nada de nada.solo ojala no lleguen al fracaso por culpa de wii,como paso con el virtual boy,bueno es decicion de ustedes,voten por el si o el no a wii.pero recuerden que revolution suena mejor.
I support the Wii. personally i think you guys are a bunch of losers who live wwith their mother and are afraid of what the big bad scary sony/microsoft junkies will say about their systems lame name. get over yourselves. your probably wondering why i am putting myself in this petition. it's because i know for an absolute fact that nintendo will not change the console's name simply because a bunch of n00bs decided to join together to bitch about how they are afraid of what others might say about them buying a Wii. if your so damn scared to admit you own a Wii, just say NWii instead (in-wee). that's what they did for Game Cube (GCN). you guys need to get a life.
Nintendo... come on! Wii. Wii! It's curtains for you guys... you had something good going with the new system, and now you destroyed it. I guarantee you will not sell even 2 million units on launch day.

I like the spelling of the name and I don't mind the meaning behind it. But the way it's pronounced ("we") just makes me think of nothing else but a little kid exclaiming, "WEEEE!!" as he is recklessly swinging the controller around. So, to me, the name seems limited to kids and non-gamers rather than the all-inclusive name that Nintendo was going for. That's the irony. In the end, the name ("Wii") might have the exact opposite effect that Nintendo wants it to have. I'm not saying that the Nintendo Wii will be "kiddy." I know about games like Red Steel and Metroid Prime 3. I'm just saying that if some people think that Nintendo is for kids (and many people do), this name might not be the best thing for changing their minds. And that's what Nintendo's trying to do. Their trying to change people's minds about gaming.
P.S. Just so we're all clear, I will definitely be buying the Wii as soon as it comes out (and probably never buying a PS3 or 360). Also, I highly doubt the name will have any noteworthy negative effect on the Nintendo Wii's market perception. I just don't like thinking of a little kid dancing around with my game controller yelling "WEEEE!!" every time I think of the name of my console.
I support this petition. My 13 year old was notified of the name change tonight and i thought he was gonna puke. he now wants 360 or ps3. before today all he talked about was how awesome the revolution was gonna be. Now... i guess i save our money for the competitors product.

I support this petition because those who remain loyal to and will become loyal to Nintendo's consoles do not deserve to be mocked by the likes of the xbox and sony fans. It is not as important to us that it is not going to directly compete with either PS3 or the XBox 360 but please give us some dignity by naming the console Revolution or something more decent than Wii.

I support this petition. I really hope this is a joke. The revolution spoke volumes about what it was about and even my Sony and Microsoft friends thought it was the coolest name out of the three next-gen systems.
