This petition is for the name for Nintendo's Next Console Code name Revolution, They have decided to name the system Nintendo Wii We Need to show Nintendo that this name is going to turn away the potential Market that Nintendo was intending to grasp a hold of. Sure Hardcore fans will go buy this system but the fact that Its so out of the ordinary, People that no nothing of This product and step into their local Best Buy or Gamestop to buy a system will instantly be turned away when they hear the name Wii and faced with a choice from Playstation and Xbox both names they clearly recognize and the Sound of Wii in America Sounds Childish and with its awkward spelling will turn away these potential customers. I plead Please sign this and I beg Nintendo To change the name. Even if its not Revolution. Give us the respect and Show us the love we have shown you by supporting us in this name change Because there will be no Wii without US!

All I got'a say is what the hell is a famicon? Right? Time to return to the days of American systems having names different than there Japenese counterparts. Wii is fine for Japan, but we want it called the Revolution here in the States.

i have been a nintendo gamer for years and remeber how the names made me super nintendo nintendo 64 gamecube all great systems Nintendo Wii just does not flow right Nintendo Revolution sounds more powerful

because Wii is not a name that should be used for a new console, especially for Nintendo. Revolution was such a good name and to replace it with Wii would be an insult to Nintendo gamers. Change it back, please.
