In 1975 the Disney studios re-released their original Mickey Mouse Club into the syndication market. Encouraged by its success, Disney embarked on creating a brand-new Club. A nationwide talent hunt followed, resulting in twelve youngsters from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds being named "Mouseketeers": Many of the same elements from the original Club were incorporated into the new series: themed days, individual talent segments, serials, "Mousekartoons", and of course, the roll call and Alma Matter song. There was no adult host as the producers felt contemoprary viewers would identify more with just the kids.

While the show was not considered a success at the time, the club soundtrack was the best selling children's record of year. Many have grown up and wondered what ever became of the group outside of Lisa Whelchel who went on to be Blair on "The Facts of Life". Many have wondered why the show has completely disappeared in a time when Disney is releasing and re-releasing old classics. (Even The Black Cauldron was released on DVD!)

We, the undersigned would like to see (and would most definitely purchase) AT LEAST one copy of a DVD set of New Mickey Mouse Club episodes.
