My son is a type one diabetic and I need to call him and he needs to be able to call me when he has a question about his health care. He is self-directed and does not rely on the stupid, senile nurse at his school any more so I need to be able to contact him whenever he needs to.

Because it's important for parents to know where their kids are and not to mention in the case like 9/11 and the way things are out there if my daughter is in trouble I dont care if she is in the middle of class she needs to call me she can call me our kids are our future what else do they have, they don't even feel safe anymore anywhere.

I support this petition because students are asked to go on trips and then have to return on their own without the teachers and if they work after school they need to have a cell phone for emergency purpose. I email my sons school principal on this about a month ago and i did not get a response from him. All I ask is for my son to be able to take it in his school bag for emergency use only. I understand if they took it away from him if he used it in class but if its in his bag they should leave it alone.

they should change this sht to as long as the phone is OFF then you can go in with it. because yea i constantly need my phone to call my dad 4 a ride when i lose or jus dont have my card.. it gives parents a piece of mind... they care about thier kids and they give them a phone sp they kno where they are fuk diz sht sumtimes i think they focus more on takin the phones then they do on weapons

I support this petition. As a working mother, I need my daughter and son to carry a cell phone with them, especially my son who has asthma. As long as these items are kept in their backpacks during school hours, I see no reason they cannot have them. Another option is for the school to hold these items till school ends, but then if they dissappear, the school ad. is resonsible!
