Today was a very sad day for us Winnie the Pooh fanatics.Today Disney decided to get rid of Christopher Robin for a girl in a bike helmet and combats!

The lovable Pooh stories have been around for 80 years,all stories including Christopher Robin.Now Disney have decided to get rid of Christopher Robin for a girl so that the show will appeal to the female audience more.

Winnie the Pooh merchanidise sells around $1 billion a year.In my opinion,I am guessing that the average sales are from girls,not boys.

And if people have children that begin to watch the Pooh tv series in 2007(when the new christopher robin female will be launched), I doubt that the children of the future will even admire A.A. Milne's original stories,and the children of then will probably not even know who Christopher Robin is.

As well as all this,they will be renaming the computerised tv series 'My Friends Tigger and Pooh'.Now there are two things wrong with that-why get rid of the original name aswell?And since when did Tiggers name go before Poohs'.

"People of all ages can look forward to seeing the new 6-year-old Christopher Robin female that wears a bike helmet,combats and carries a backpack on tv screens in 2007!" is probably what they'll be saying.
