I think that no other show shows so many details about the charaters private life, that is why I am watching it in the first place!! Because the characters are not just onde-dimensional like in Law & Order. So please have the team stay as it is!!! What is the need for another character!?
There is no need to bring in any extra characters, 5 is enough. if you start ading more characters some veiwers may be put off and stop watching all together. she distracts us from what is going on.
I sometimes do not understand what she is EVEN saying because of her accent. Yes we need her to begone from our WaT. Show more dannymartin, let the subtext between these to become reality.
She's just unnecessary. The show was great with the original five and adding another character just seems useless especially at this point and time. I mean there are just too many story lines out there that need to be played out and she takes away from that.
I LOVE Without a Trace it is by far the best show on T.V and the best of the Bruckheimer collection.
Getting that off my chest i would like to put forward my concerns about the additional character (Elana) I'm sure she's nice and everything, but like the other petitioners i really don't see the need for her. The dynamics on Without A Trace were perfection, and the aspect i liked best about the show is that the original cast members make it personal, you feel like you know them and that they know you. This was one of the many aspects i loved about the show, i still am a devoted fan but only to the original cast members. Bring back the original story lines JS. The show is just so much more sexual 'without Elena'.

WaT didn't need any new characters. Elena adds nothing to the show at all & is a waste of space. Bring back more Jack & Sam scenes, Martin & Danny, and of course the wonderful Viv, who is sorely underused for such a good actress!
Get Elena off the show. Why add a less interesting, unneeded and unwanted character to a perfect lineup, thereby ruining the perfection? How about using the actors you've already got on the show more, instead of bringing in a new one? Elena is a boring, uninteresting character, and brings nothing but general annoyance to the show.
Keep what works. The original cast of FIVE is what worked for the last three years. Certain actors don't get enough screen time as it is. It's insulting to bring in a new actor and flash her in every single scene when an original character does not even get a total of five minutes in an episode. We want to see continuity, and the addition of this new character does not give that to us. KEEP THE CAST TO THE ORIGINAL FIVE.
We don't need new main characters added to the core team on Without a Trace. Since the addition of Elena it seems like we have seen more of her than the original characters we watch WAT to see. The original team has the interaction and dynamics when they are allowed to work together that made us care about the show and that kept us looking forward to each week. Why in season four is everything changing. The new writers are not following the history of WAT with any continuity in character development or interactions and it is getting tiring. Promising things publicly in the past and just dropping them is annoying and adding new characters to the mix that don't need to be there is just not necessary. Bring back season one team interation and story continuity. It set the tone for this show and it has been slowly losing its dynamics over the past two seasons and is becoming just another show. We want our main team together, we want continuity and we want the relationships back from season one.
pls we dont need elena..give elenas screentime to whom it belongs_-->>martin/sam&danny (jack and viv) and a whole bunch of WAT fans would be happy!!AND its just annoying to see that the other episodes after showdown have nothing in common.especially martin and danny..whats about em??whats about martin??is he alright now?

I think her character is pointless. She is just a distraction from a great plot. She can't act, and cannot articulate. Please CBS< don't ruin a perfectly good show
The characters are so rich - we don't need new ones. I would LOVE to see more Martin/Danny. Martin's recovery deserves so much time, and its been ignored. I'd also like to see more Vivian, who doesn't get the screen time she deserves. Keep the show the way it should be - with the five originals! The new cast member is practically the star now, which is awful - nothing personal against the actress, but the show is best when it's about the original cast.
Not only is the new character completely unnecessary, but she has taken away from the Danny/Martin recovery storyline, which was brilliant in the first two episodes. It's so disappointing to have 2/3 episodes that deal with a serious, realistic matter before someone else grabs the spotlight. And where the hell is Viv. More Viv would have saved you a contract salary and pleased 99% of the viewing audience. Think about that.
Why would you bring in someone who totally disprutes the whole show. Really, why would you? Is it because of the whole Desperate Housewives thing, because if it is that is no excuse. It's really not. Just because that happened doesn't mean you need to go and screw-up a really good show. I'm mean come on, the show is beating ER. Why change it? I know why. Because you all have your heads so far up there that you don't realize what the fans want. Now, if you don't keep the fans happy then they'll stop watching and you'll lose money. Can we not follow my line of thinking? Because apparently the powers that be and the fans aren't on the same wave length. GET HER OFF THE SHOW. Was that clear enough?
