Where as on November 1, 2006, the Board of Directors presented a final offer to the employees of Nova Vita Domestic Violence Prevention Services;
And where as the employer provided no alternative, but to force the committed employees of Nova Vita to reject the final offer. Which has left women, children and men of Brantford at risk;
And where as the employees have been on legal strike since November 6, 2006. And where as the employees requested the Board of Directors of Nova Vita fulfill their responsibility as Directors and end the impasse. And where as the Board has flatly refused to meet or discuss the outstanding issues or working conditions at Nova Vita.
In recogonition of Nova Vita as a vital part of our community. We the undersign request the elected officials of the City of Brantford and the Province of Ontario, to intervene on behalf of the clients of Nova Vita, and your constiutuents to bring a resolve to this impasse.
