I support this petition. As a Danish longtime-follower of the Toon Army, I find it hard to make an impact on the media and club. But with this e-mail I would very much like to to promote the employment of Ottmar Hitzfeld as Newcastle United's next team manager. NUFC need to success in their next appointment of a new manager. If they don't I'm very much affraid that will be the end of the club as we know it (wanting and moneywize capable of copeting at the highest level). In the following I would therefore very much like to adress why I promote Hitzfeld: He is the only manager to win the Champions League with two different clubs. Today, no manager has a better overall record in UEFA's premier competition. He's picked up the prestigious World Manager of the Year award twice or German manager of the year 5 times. Hitzfeld rates the Premiership as "exciting" and one of the "best leagues in the world", "a league any coach would want to test himself in". After 4 years of being two years out of management, he's now prepared to a new beginningin world football. He can speak 4 different languages including English. His last salary at Bayern Munich was exactly the same as Graeme Souness' at Newcastle - a reported £2.2 million per annum. And unlike the Scot, the club wouldn't have to pay compensation for Hitzfeld, he's free and available. Best regards Tim Vikær Copenhagen Denmark
