I have followed Mr. Hitzfelds' career for years.Dortmund were in a similar position to ourselves when he took over. He completely transformed the club and made them European Champions. His CV is second to none.If he has not been considered for the post, the people running our club are masquerading as football people.

If Michael Owen does nick off to Liverpool in the summer, then you need someone who can deal with the situation and can attract like players to the club and stop pretending that the present defence is somehow going to improve.
