Colorado and Missouri are good rivals of Nebraska, but Oklahoma will always be Nebraska's true rival. Nebraska-Oklahoma is one of the greatest rivalries in college football.
This is the game everyone wants on Thanksgiving. If it isn't conference game maybe we could get it as a nonconference game. It wouldn't have conference implications in off years but it would have a national significance.
The Big 12 ruined one of the best rivalries in college football (And Michigan - Ohio State is a reflection of how AWFUL the Big 10 is, and I say that as someone who had held Big 10 Season tickets for 17 years)
Been a Nebraska fan since I was a kid and always looked forword to Nebr-Okla as the game of the year. There is no rivalry game as good or intensely played than Nebr-Okla. And the best thing is the two schools respect each other, no animosity or hate involved in the cleanest best played rivalry of all time. Bring it back NOW!!!!
OU fans desperately long for the annual renewal of the Nebraska rivalry, but we can't lose the annual Red River Shootout at the expense of making it happen. How can both exist? I have no answers, but in a perfect world of Sooner football it could.
I am tired of hearing aboutOU v. Texas and OSU v. Michigan as being the best rivalries in college football. This one needs to get back to a yearly contest.
With NU on its way up, and OU already there, its time to start it again. Just think Thanksgiving dinner, and then NU-OU in a classic battle the next day...it has a great ring to it, let's get this done!
These have been the best games of all time. Who can forget the 86-87 games which lived up to billings. And the greatest game of all time NU - OU 1971.
Boomer Sooner!
