Dear MSNBC TV,

The actions of Mr. O.J. Simpson have no effect on the lives of Americans save for Mr. Simpson and his colleagues. As a national news network it is utterly irresponsible of you to use air time to cover such a small and trivial incident when there is so much news which does effect the rest of the nation unfolding. I understand profit models, I understand that you want to attract as many viewers from as wide an audience as possible, but selling your soul to the devil is not worth it. You will see a ratings boost from intelligent, caring Americans if you begin covering only issues of national, regional, or state importance in depth and cease coverage of personal trials and tribulations; which serve only to dumb down the news audience. You represent the fourth branch of government, and of the cable news networks are perhaps the most responsible. It is your responsibility to ensure that Americans are well informed on the issues. Do not fail us.
