In signing this petition, I am formally stating my complete and total opposition to Colorado House Bill 10-1193.

The passage of HB10-1193 has resulted in the loss of income for countless small businesses and individuals in Colorado. The regulations enacted by HB10-1193 are burdensome and no other state has similar rules. There is a right way for Colorado to pursue its revenue goals and HB10-1193 is the wrong way to go about it.

Amazon repeatedly communicated with Colorado legislatures that they are not opposed to collecting sales tax within a constitutionally permissible system applied even-handedly. I firmly believe that these proposed tax changes, signed into law by Governor Bill Ritter, Jr. were not the right action taken in these tough economic times.

I oppose the action taken by Governor Bill Ritter, Jr. and ask him to reverse his decision on HB10-1193 in order to restore Colorado Jobs.
