We, the undersigned, have supported and voted for President Bush in the 2004 election. One of the primary reasons we voted for President Bush was his clear intent to appoint originalist justices, people who believe that the Constitution should be read as it was written. Thus, we petition the President to only select nominees to the United States Supreme Court with a clear record of reading the Constitution as it was written. Encouraged by the President and the Republican Party’s statements about building a culture of life and ending judicial activism, we voted for President Bush with these hopes in mind.
