I truly believe that Paul Martin and Stephen Harper are of the utmost highest caliber individuals. They have risen to become leaders of the two most powerful political parties in Canada. One of them is Prime Minister, and the other is a hopeful contender.

Both men are successful, intelligent, and well spoken. They both have wonderful visions for Canada, as do the parties they represent.

Yet, sadly, they and their parties are both failing our country miserably.

Why?

Well the reason isn't simple. But the reason I will give you, for lack of space and time, will be simple, and while my toungue is somewhat in cheek, I believe what I say to be true.

These parties, and the Canadian public, have become so fake, so worried about what they say and do, so "gutless" in worrying about how it will appear in the media, and how it will be spun to the population, that everything they say, everything they do, is so fully scripted and absolutely poll-driven, politically correct, and special-interest group based, that they have paralyzed themselves, their opinions, their true visions, their true feelings, and the country as a result.

We are stuck in a non-real battle. Not a battle of real ideas of any substance. But a battle of who can make the other look the worst.

Forget the pundits. Forget the media. Forget what "everyone thinks". Paul and Steve... you guys are both honest, smart, good people! How have you let your handlers take you this far down the wrong path?

It truly is a shame.

Well.... what to do?

The old batch, Paul and Stephen included, need to be tossed out by their parties. Because there are two guys waiting in the wings, whether they know it or not, whether they believe it or not, that would do this country a great service by stepping forward.

And I'm speaking of none other than Ben Mulroney and Justin Trudeau.

Ben, son of former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. Justin, son of the late former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. Also both great men in their political hayday.

Ben, who I believe has inherited from his father a love of the country, a good heart, a charismatic personality, and the ability to lead, speak his mind, be himself, and set a clear vision for our country.

Justin, a French Canadian Liberal, with all the personal qualities needed to be a great leader, not to mention the lineage of arguably one of Canada's all time most straightforward, to the point, and while loved by some and hated by others, certainly respected by all as Prime Minister.

Step up to the plate boys!

Liberal and Conservative parties, throw the old batch out, and bring in the new!

Let's talk about ideas... let's get some life back into our political system, and let's get rid of all the fakeness!
