I support this bill
wholeheartly. I live in a Private
Gated Community,and
the gang activity has infiltrated this Community. Secondly, I endorse
this bill for the safety and welfare of all citizens living in Pa.
AS FORMER FOUNDER OF N.A.G (NEIGHBORS AGAINST GANGS)IN NEW JERSEY,THIS IS A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. IF IT MEANS THAT A FEW OF THE KIDS RIGHTS HAVE TO BE VIOLATED TO PRESERVE THE NEIGHBORHOOD, THEN SO BE IT. THERE HAS TO BE MORE THAN THIS TOO. MORE MONEY IS NEED FOR PREVENTION AND FAMILY COUNSELING TO HELP FAMILIES DEAL EFFECTIVELY W/ THE PROBLEM AT HOME. IF THE FAMILIES OF THESE KIDS DON'T CARE, THEN THE PARENTS SHOULD BE PUNISHED TOO. THE BILL SHOULD CARRY A CLAUSE WHICH HOLDS THE ADULTS OF THESE KIDS ACCOUNTABLE. SOME PRISON TIME MIGHT HELP. CARE NOT JUST ABOUT YOURSELF, INSTEAD THE ENITRE NEIGHBORHOOD!!!!!!!!
Last year, our neighborhood was plagued by a gang of youth that broke into homes and stole any items they could re-sell. As a member of a community with gang problems, I totally support this petition!
I support this bill 100%. This is one area that all citizens can get involved and help. All it takes is your signature. Bill Chalfant stands behind what he believes in and puts his heart and soul into his work.
As a Chief and law enforcement officer for twenty years, I feel this Bill is long overdue. Its time to do the right thing and protect the citizens of Pennsylvania.
Being the Deputy Chief in charge of the Code Enforcement for the City of Lebanon I support this bill. I see First Hand the outcome of what can happen and how this effects the whole community.
The increase in gang activity in my area is intentionally being downplayed and overlooked by politicians so as not to "label" the area. In effect what they are doing is increasing the liklihood that the problem will soon be out of control!
I hope that the law is written well. I have seen many laws drafted with good spirit and intentions but used to target the wrong people or used to infringe on people's rights.
i am gang intell for the northampton county sheriffs dept. it is amazing the impact gang have had on our community.they are everywhere and the problem is getting worse.
