Why place additional goverment controls around what is already controlled by the government. Wat a waste of resources. Better to spend that money helping the hungry or homeless. Pull the Bill, vote NO, LISTEN to the people you are supposed to be representing. If such a bill is in need to control puppy/kitten mills, then go to the source (the reputable breeders) and find out what kind of legislation is really needed. Find out how to do something that will be effective while still supporting those of us who are doing our best to be of service to our breeds.

This bill would harm the GOOD breeders, and not touch the irresponsible ones. Reputable (hobby)breeders cannot comply with USDA regulations, which require animals to live on hard surfaces which can be disinfected daily - hard to do when your dogs live in your home, and sleep on the bed or the couch. Puppies are raised in a home environment, get to play in the yard, in the grass- again, not a disinfectable surface- but essential for socialization and proper temperament development. Please vote NO on this bill, or all that will be left are the poorly bred pet store dogs coming from the USDA approved puppy mills.

Puppy Mills should be BANNED. If this bill is passed we will see many many many more mills. All us Hobby Breeders will become one. Doesnt anyone care about the Animals anymore. That is the real concern. Take a look at a home of a hobby breeder and a look at a puppy mill. Enough Said!

I want to be sure animals are properly cared for also, but not at the expense of the responsible owner's/breeders. Do not sacrafice the many for the few! In other words, this legislation will take liberties away from a lot of animal owners (that are caring owners/breeders) in order to try and stop a smaller number of people that do not care for their animals properly.

Please do not pass this bill. There are many reputable and responsible breeders out there that take excellent care of their animals and give them all the love, attention, and care that they need, many even going without pleasures for themselves so that their pets can be pampered. Many of these same breeders view their pets as family members and treat them as such. These breeders will be hurt more than the ones who don't take care of their pets because they DO CARE about their pets as FAMILY MEMBERS and not just an animal. There are better ways to go after the non-caring public without hurting the ones that take care above and beyond what is called for. The government has better things to do with their time than to stick their noses in the private lives of others who will be harmed beyond anything imaginable if this bill passes. PLEASE consider them and DO NOT PASS THIS BILL.

this bill is the worst ever, vote no .i think people should really look into what the bill is about it is not about animal rights to live a better life .the puppy mills are all usad licences now. they want the hobby show breeder out of business so you will have to but your next pet from a commercial kennel .that is usda licenced .all private hobby show breeders will be put out of business.reason one .they will be shut down by there township .there are not .very many ag.zones left. most townships are resendent zones. a usda licence would make it next to imposiable ,for a small hobby breeder to find a place to live and raise there dogs. usda livstock .licence says you cant raise your livstock in your house. that is what our beloved pets .are to them livstock. puppy mills treat them just like chickens hogs .cows etc, .

Plese protect small-breed breeders. We only have 1-3 puppies per litter, but will be scrutinized by the same rules as those who have 7 or more puppies. I feel this bill is infringing on peoples rights and does nothing to protect the animals as I suppose was the reasoning behind the bill in the first place.

This bill goes after the wrong people-hobby and legitimate breeders of pedigreed animals. If this bill passes it will be very difficult to get a well-socialized, healthy and well-bred pet. Only the puppy mills will still be in business! Do the right thing-don't let the radical Animal Rights people whose only agenda is to eliminate pet ownership completely use you as an instrument of their agenda! PULL THIS BILL!!!!!!!

This ill-conceived bill threatens the ability of American citizens to own and enjoy pet dogs and cats. To enforce it, the USDA would have to go into private bedrooms to inspect the way kittens are raised in private homes. This is abust of the privacy of homes guaranteed by the Constitution.
