The PAWS Act will result in the demise and crash of the entire pet
industry. Show people and breeders will no longer be able to afford their
hobby. |

I am totaly appauled at the idea that AKC supports this bill and that the
goverment is taking away another one of our constitutional rights. I
thought that is what our country is all about, FREEDOM. If this bill
passes, then our government is no better that any other. We soon will be a
coommunist country being told what we can and cannot do. Please do not let
this bill pass. |

This bill only hurts pets and responsible breeders, not the puppy mills who
already isolate them. They have too many to properly socialize them and give
them the proper medical attention, as well as the the love they need. |

This is supposed ot be the land of the free, but what is free anymore, and

This bill will only hurt responsible breeders. Senator Santorum needs to
educate himself on the difference between animal Rights and animal Welfare!
This bill will only hurt responsible breeders. It will not end puppy mills.
I am disgusted that AKC would not stand up for it's breeders by
opposing this bill. |

Senator, I believe your bill may have it's merits but it also has major
drawbacks; the bill needs more citizen input and to be revised. Any bill
that needs to be re-written before it is passed if a bad bill. Pull your
bill and obtain more information! |

Please DO NOT support this bill.
The way it's written it will only put more unnecessary laws on those
who abide by them. The people that it is trying to reach will find ways
around it anyhow. Enforce the laws already written---don't destroy the
small hobby/show breeders who raise nice healthy animals. |

It is about time multiple pet owners stop being demonized. We spend mor
time and money caring for animals than the people who claim to be so
interested in "animal welfare." If they really cared, they would
help improve substandard conditions instead of attacking and confiscating.
For some people, animals are their lives. |
