6 Jun 2005 - 23:56    Kris Fitzgerald : This amendment will hurt repsonsible breeders and add a new layer of governement responsibility that they already cannot keep up with.
7 Jun 2005 - 0:01    Sharon Johnson :
7 Jun 2005 - 0:01    Cathi Gorman : As president of the American Shetland Sheepdog Club, I VIGOROUSLY oppose this legislation.
7 Jun 2005 - 0:03    Lynda R. Farley :
7 Jun 2005 - 0:11    jerilynn adin safran :
7 Jun 2005 - 0:17    Tonya Slavick : This bill is doing all animals lovers a great diservice!! The small hobby/show breeder is not the problem here. The big time puppy mill operations are. Work on makeing the laws already in place for the policing of commerical breeders enforceable and stay out of private homes. I urge you to please defeat this bill.
7 Jun 2005 - 0:18    Janet :
7 Jun 2005 - 0:19    Carol Neal : Bills like this will only force the small breeders out and actually add to the puppy mills since only they will be left. Don't allow the animal rights people to take out pets from us and our children.
7 Jun 2005 - 0:22    Dixie Williams : This bill does nothing to stop the inhumane puppy millers. Hobby breeders are not the problem
7 Jun 2005 - 0:27    Susan Cassem : Such legislation is starting on the slippery slope of complete government regulation and oversight of the smaller hobby breeders/exhibitors. There are barely enough USDA funds to adequately investigate the big puppy mills and brokers. Please stop this bill and leave the hobbyists and small serious breeders alone.
7 Jun 2005 - 0:29    Michael Roberds :
7 Jun 2005 - 0:30    Larry Owens : Responsible breeders/exhibitors do not need more federal laws to govern the breeding of quality purebred animals. The AKC has set very high standards. Any additional federal law should be aimed directly at the deplorable conditions that exist in puppy mills.
7 Jun 2005 - 0:32    Teresa White :
7 Jun 2005 - 0:33    Flora Brown : This bill will only punish the innocent (breed enthusiasts), and benefit the criminals (puppy millers). Don't we have enough of that already Senator Santorium?? Support this - and we won't support you. Flora Brown
7 Jun 2005 - 0:33    Eric Fleming : I do not care for any junk mail, but i would like to sign this petition, as i believe the government needs to step away and reevaluate the need for this.
7 Jun 2005 - 0:40    Lisa Doxsee : Hobby breeders are NOT the problem here, the problem is with PUPPYMILLERS!
7 Jun 2005 - 0:55    Rhonda Watts :
7 Jun 2005 - 0:57    Donna Fitzpatrick : I beg you to stop this bill. It will hurt breeders who are trying to protect rare bloodlines and do nothing to help the small hobbyist. Defeat this terrible bill please.
7 Jun 2005 - 1:07    Lori Burchett : If you want to stop the problem of over population and abused animals then take the same time and energy and put it into passing laws that make impulse buying a thing of the past. Stop the sales of pets in Pet Shops, Flea Markets and roadsides or parking lots. These pets are on dispaly and sold to anyone who has the money. We, as responsible breeders screen potential new homes and place our pets with more in mind that the almighty dollar. We want our babies to have wonderful forever homes with people who have taken the time to find the right pet and have considered all the work a new pet will require. Pet shops, flea markets and and roadside or parking lot sellers only ask "Will this be cash or charge."
7 Jun 2005 - 1:09    Tim Meyer : I urge you to defeat this Bill.
7 Jun 2005 - 1:17    Eve Fogarty :
7 Jun 2005 - 1:18    Lynn Scheffner : This bill is too vaguely written to be of benefit in promoting responsible pet ownership. It imposes impossible restrictions on hobby-breeders who are the source of good, quality puppies. Without quality puppies to purchase, buyers will be forced to purchase puppy mill puppies, the very source that this bill is trying to control.
7 Jun 2005 - 1:19    Marcy Scott : Legislation needs to target puppy mills and the horrors inflicted on these animals as well as the lack of quality (but certainly not lack of QUANTITY) being produced - instead of on the breed enthusiasts/ hobbyists who genuinely strive for the betterment of the breed, and who love and care for both the breed(s) and the dogs they produce. Get real, Sen. Santorum.
7 Jun 2005 - 1:20    Sue Ann Kelly :
7 Jun 2005 - 1:21    LaJuanna Hagler : Please don't hurt responsible breeders, stop this bill!
7 Jun 2005 - 1:22    William Wicks : Badly drafted and ill intended legislation just worsens rather than helps. Please do not support this legislation. It will hurt the innocent and help the guilty.
7 Jun 2005 - 1:23    Deana Acton :
7 Jun 2005 - 1:29    tom young :
7 Jun 2005 - 1:30    Adrianne Burk :
7 Jun 2005 - 1:32    Carol Martz : I urge you to defeat this Bill. Stop this bill. It will hurt responsible hobby breeders who are trying to protect our Dogs bloodlines...
7 Jun 2005 - 1:37    Yvonne McDaniel :
7 Jun 2005 - 1:38    Dustin McDaniel :
7 Jun 2005 - 1:38    Patsy Kolbe :
7 Jun 2005 - 1:40    carol jones : Go after the REAL puppy mills not the home breeder.
7 Jun 2005 - 1:41    Marlene Vigil :
7 Jun 2005 - 1:42    Jerrie Freia : We do not believe that the provisions of the PAWS 2005 proposed legislation, SB1139/HB2669, will enhance the effective enforcement of the AWA. We believe that the PAWS provisions will further invade/limit private citizens' rights to own and breed pets, which we find unacceptable
7 Jun 2005 - 1:54    Shirley Mabry : Please stop this bill. Go after the real puppy mills, not responsible breeders who are trying to protect good bloodlines.
7 Jun 2005 - 1:56    Lynda Montgomery :
7 Jun 2005 - 1:58    Stephanie Witt :
7 Jun 2005 - 2:13    George Eigenhauser : PAWS requires goverment inspection of the residences of hobby breeders, who are already regulated by local authorities. By expanding USDA inspections into hobby breeders' homes, it will stretch USDA resources and diminish their ability to concentrate on large-scale commercial and interstate animal raising and transportation.
7 Jun 2005 - 2:18    Karan Graham : I love my dogs as much as I love my kids. Most hobby breeders feel the same. The people who should be looked at are not us but people who see dogs as a 4 legged business - puppy mills!!!
7 Jun 2005 - 2:23    Rhapsody Rhodes :
7 Jun 2005 - 2:23    Michelle Burke : This bill will do nothing to help animals. Please don't support it.
7 Jun 2005 - 2:32    Candace Wisnieski :
7 Jun 2005 - 2:32    Rebekah James : Please oppose this bil that will punish responsible hobby breeders.
7 Jun 2005 - 2:32    Candace Wisnieski :
7 Jun 2005 - 2:39    Beth Toraason : This will harm small breeders and do nothing against the large volume puppy mills. Please don't support it.
7 Jun 2005 - 2:40    Debbie Kendall : Sen.Santorum - Please educate yourself regarding the ture intent of your bill. You are missing your target, at the expense of 'responsible' pet owners. Puppy mills and the owners/operators are where you need to focus! If your true concern is the welfare of animals..and NOT how much money you will receive from the puppy mill's lobbying your support, do the right thing - pull this bill!! Maybe you will be able to sleep at night...
7 Jun 2005 - 2:44    Shannon Ripplinger :
7 Jun 2005 - 2:45    Lee H. Thomas : This bill only hurts pets and responsible breeders, not puppie mills who already isolate their animals because they have too many to properly socialize them and give them the love they need.
