The phone market, especially in the United States, is absolutely slammed with proprietary practices, which is absolutely horrible for the consumer.

Practices aside, we are starving for a phone/PDA that doesn't fall victim to the iPhone mindset of "invincible" touchscreen antics and "moving part" fatigue. The iPhone's "touchscreen only" approach is not acceptable for any modern worker needing a physical keyboard (which implies a 'portrait' mode QWERTY layout) while having any moving parts, such as a slide-out keyboard, immediately limits the lifespan of the device.

By signing this petition, I would purchase a phone that has two sides (and consequently, no moving parts): one that is a full HD-quality widescreen touch display, while the other is a portrait-style QWERTY display that allows for non-visual touch-typing.

Other requirements would include a Google Android operating system, an open-source platform that enables free customization of the system and interface of your phone.
