Dear Philadelphia Flyers,

This peition is regarding a request retirement from fans for the number 31 of Pelle Lindbergh to be retired. Lindbergh was one of the best goaltenders the Philadelphia Flyers have had in there nhl history. Pelle played with the Flyers for 5 years. He played very well for the amount of time he was around for the Flyers. The number 31 Has not be used since Pelle's Death in 1985. Its been 20 years since then. 20 years is a long time for a number to be unused and by the looks of it 31 will never be used again.There happens to be an award for flyer goaltender who had an outstanding year named after Lindbergh.

The Signatures below believe that its the right thing to do is finish the tribute and honoring to Pelle Lindbergh by Offically Retiring the number 31 for the Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Club.

For what he meant to this team in his far-too-brief tenure here, Pelle's number should be raised to the rafters. Adding his name to the Flyers Hall of Fame banners is also, in my opinion, a gesture whose time has long since come. Let's do it.

This has been a long time coming. No Flyers Goaltender or player would ever wear 31, please makeit official and give Pelle the spot in Flyers history he deserves..his legacy was cut short, please honor his memory.
