HELLO! There are women putting their babies in trash cans. My sister would be a wonderful mother. She deserves this chance. This should be a covered procedure. - Dolores Francia
MY HUSBAND AND I ARE GOING TO SEEK TREATMEN, BUT DO NOT KNOW HOW WE WILL PAY FOR IT. IT IS A DISGRACE THAT HEALTH INSURANCE IN PA WILL NOT PAY FOR TREATMENT. OUR BODIES ARE CREATED TO PROCREATE AND IT IS YOUR RIGHT TO BE ABLE TO SEEK MEDICAL COVERAGE TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN.
you will never no what a man or women go though ever day cause its not you or a family member but what if it was your daughter or wife or son that has this problem and they didnt have the money to get treated and there lifes became a rack and not even you could help your child wife or son but if there state cared about them anuff then they would have coverage.and these state people say we care we care then if so show it stop all the late night crys that happen to those who vote and actauly beleive you. do the rigt thing.
This is a medical condition that should be covered by those couples trying to conceive. This process is emotionally draining and a financial burden which causes additional stress and reduces success rates.
I pay for my medical insurance and deserve to have the upmost coverage without any hold backs. What is the use of having insurance if we can't use it for all medical needs. Infert. is rapidly growing and should be recognize as a major illness because it is, especially for those whose infert.
because infertility is a medical condition. I have paid thousands of dollars for medical coverage, of which I have not taken advantage and feel entitled to have my care subsidized when I have a bona fide issue.
My husband and I have undergone treatment for infertility for four years, with a large mortgage to show for our efforts and no baby. The doctors say our chances are excellent using IVF but each cycle is over $12,000. We are both hardworking people, working long hours so we can pay our loans back. Do we have to exchange our home for a child? Insurance coverage for infertility would allow us to have both. We deserve it!
I support this petition because infertility is a growing medical problem that all insurance companies should cover just as they cover other diseases. My daughter is going through this problem and needs help from her insurance company. She has paid the premiums for years and now it is time for them to live up to their obligation.
I support this position because I have a very close friend who is dealing with fertility issues. This is definitely a medical condition and my friend needs help. You should not go broke because you desire motherhood. If you work--all conditions should be covered INCLUDING fertility!
because I am going through infertility problems and I can not have children unless I get IVF, which I can not afford. My insurance does not pay for it. This was not a condition by choice. It is a disease that is growing in the united states and it needs to be addressed.
because as a husband to a woman with fertility issues it destroys me every month to watch what not being able to get pregnant does to my wife, and there is no reason that there shouldn't be assistance for couples with infertility issues since there's plenty of assistance for welfare mothers who just can't seem to keep their legs closed or use birth control.
I support this petition because I am currently experiencing infertility. I don't have the kind of money it takes to pay these doctors!! This is an actual medical condition that affects us in more ways than anyone could know.
A). Infertility is an identified medical condition
B). Couples or individuals seeking medical coverage as part of their health plan are employed, contributing tax payers who WANT children and are able to provide for these children without governmental assistance. Children of taxpayers typically grow up to become the next generation of taxpayers, just as welfare recipients statistically raise the next generation of welfare recipients.
I compare this nation's "lack" of coverage to the EU's state of the art IVF Clinics and treatment programs available at just a fraction of the cost of IVF treatment in the US. The Dutch offer insurance policies that cover IVF at 100%! Why not here...except for the greed of some CEO's?
I support this petition because it is the RIGHT thing to do for people who have this medical condition that they did not ask for. Would you deny people the right for treatment for diseases/sicknesses that they did not ask for such as cancer, heart disease, etc???? Please do the right thing.
everyone should be able to be parents, and if it is medically necessary to have treatments performed in order to have a baby, they should be covered by all insurances.
It is important to have affordable options to pursue family building. Most couples dealing with infertility have enough emotional stress, to add more financial stress is unwarranted. Please help.
infertility effects approximatly one in six individuals, yet infertility is largely unacknowledged. The Supreme Court ruled that infertility is a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act, yet many employers are effectively discriminating against those with this diablility by not offering insurance that will cover it.
as a health care professional, i support this petition, because infertility is a medical condition as is heart disease, stroke, or cancer. it is just as wrong to deny coverage to an individual seeking aid for fertility treatment as it would be to deny an individual seeking treatment for chest pain or trouble breathing.
