I have a cockatiel and she is so cute and I love her so much. The Petco I occasionally go to seems to take good care of their birds but from what I\'ve heard some stores don\'t and it makes me cry to think there are cute little birds being mistreated. I sign this petition with no second thoughts!
I support this petition. It is absolutely disgusting the way the animals are treated at these stores! And for the people that work there: SHAME on you! You\'re the ones who could make the biggest difference and you all sit around and collect you money.. doing NOTHING! I would NEVER stand for conditions like that anywhere! How can you send a child home with a pet knowing very well its going to die within a week or two?!?! You bastards are evil.

I have seen vids of people laughing at the animal for what they thought was "Funny" but was really its way of trying to tell them that it was scarred and stressed. I hope that they will change, and i will make sure that I take care of my animals "properly" and not when i want to.

I support this petition. Me and my friend were doing some research on the computer for a school project and we came across information and some pictures describing what they do to the animals. Petco should treat their animals better or people will stop shopping there. =)
I support this petition. I support this because my friend and I are doing a report on this in school and we have seen what has been happening to the animals and what happens after they are experimented on and we both agree its the sickist (meaning bad) thing we have ever seen!
I support this petition. I am doing a report in school on how it's wrong that Petco is treating animals this way, and honestly, I couldn't feel more strongly about it. I watched this one either msn episode or 20/20 episode a few years back, and they had gone behind the scenes to show us what goes on where the animals were kept, and I was disgusted. It's terrible how small of cages they keep their animals in, and the same goes with the kind of medical care they recieve.
They sold me two diseased fish, didn't tell me much how to care for them. one died within 24 hrs. the manager was a jerk. i now have one that is still alive-but only because there are a lot of informed people out there posting to blogs for people like me. i have a few refunds coming my way. after that-i will trek the extra few blocks to a smaller pet store. i live in nyc. the petco i am pointing the finger at is on the corner of 91st/brdway. stay clear!!
I used to work at a pet laboratory in Sacramento a few years back. Most of the 'dead' animals we get there would come from Petsmart or Petco. I remember recieving baby dogs, rats, birds etc. It's really sad.
Although I do visit Petco and Petsmart every once in a while, they seem to take good care of the animals where I'm at. I would say someone is lying here, and I would like to know the truth.
