I support this petition. Even murderers get out of jail in less time than Pete has been banned. We keep nominating to all-time teams and lists of all-time greats. Is that not a Hall of Famer?
I support this petition. Far more players have disgraced the game of baseball with steroid. These players cheated in a way and get a slap on the wrist. Pete Rose bet on baseball. It\'s time to get over it and recognize the accomplishments of one of baseballs greatest players.
I support this petition. Really now, Michael Vic getting back in football? Plaxico Burrus? As others have mentioned, all the steroid users? I didn\'t use, I did use. All the lying. C\'mon, stop trying to make an example of Charlie Hustle, let\'s get him where he deserves to be, with the rest of the baseball greats in the Hall of Fame!
I support this petition. Steroid-ers get nothing for their actions but a guy who bet on his team to win gets banned for life, give me a break, Bud Selig step up and do the right thing, so your known for at least one thing good, and while your at it, put in Ron Santo for gods sake. If one steroid guy makes the Hall of Fame Im voting Vince Mcmahon new head of MLB.
I support this petition.
no one played harder than pete rose. if the youth of today could see him play, they would see the difference in a player who loves the game and the one that plays for money. no crying that this hurts or that hurts.there has been a lot worst that gambling. but the way he played will always to me, contradict what he was accused of doing. that man earned the right to be there.
I support this petition because the best baseball player of all time isn't in the hall of fame. barry bonds will get in but pete rose can't. that is fuckin crazy.
If any of the "Steroid Age" players make it in before Pete Rose then it will be a crying shame, how in the world is the greatest hitter to play the game not in the HOF is beyond me
I support this petition. The greatest hitter in baseball. The most hits in baseball.Baseball is Pete's life. If he did gamble on baseball gice him a second chance and at least induct him into the hall of fame. The fans still LOVE Pete after all these years just look at the tape of The All Century team and the reception they gave him! Think how good it would be for baseball's relationship with the fan base and for Pete's dedication to baseball. As I am just an average citizen spending my time writing this brief comment late at night for Mr Rose.To Mr.Bud Selig I am not attorney but you don't have to let past prescedent rule be different and please FORGIVE Pete Rose and allow to enter the MLB'S Hall of Fame ASAP.Place yourself in his position. I request that you write me back Mr. Selig if you do ever read this and drop me a brief note. Again please consider forgiveness. Thank you.
I support this petition. The hall is empty without Rose in it and means absolutely nothing. I will not visit it until Pete is placed in it respectfully.
The all-time hit king. How much longer shall he suffer? Cheaters and roiders are/will get in, so why not Pete? He deserves it and it was proved that we, the fans, forgive him by voting him into the All Century team. Let Pete Rose into the Hall.
I support this petition. I believe he has paid his debt to society while serving time in Marion Federal Pen. It does not appear that he used any outside sources to get "bulked" up, etc. Let his name be put forward for a vote.
Pete was guilty, unfortunately baseball chosen gambling as its cardinal sin. As a result he must pay the ultimate price, banishment forever. Baseball could fix this with a realistic punishment, or reserved areas in baseball in which Pete could be a part of. I personally don\'t see any difference between Bonds phony homers and Rose betting on baseball. They distorted the outcome of games. Just how many games that ended up 8-7 giants should have ended up a 7-4 giant loss because Bonds ball should have landed on the warning tract in an outfielders glove? Bigger and Stronger, give me a brake Harold Reynolds, how many of those bigger and stronger cheaters a now a shell of their previous self, Travis Hafner is one.
It is a fallacy of logic to ban Pete Rose from baseball. I have no doubt that he would still be involved with the sport of his passion, whether in coaching, ownership, or even as an active baseball player. If Cooperstown is about the best in baseball, Pete Rose should be there. And now, while he is still alive to cherish the honor of what he did on the field.- Rob Caughron
how come pete rose cannot be put into the hall of fame, but OJ simpson can still be in the hall of fame? Pete rose made a mistake but he is still a hero to me
It's absurd that Mr. Pete Rose is still being kept out of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Yes, he made a BIG mistake, but, for the love of God, he's paid for that mistake, many times over. Mr. Bud Selig, do the right thing and see to it that Pete Rose is inducted into the Hall of Fame. So it now, before the man dies, The Hall of Fame is for the fans, and there is an overwhelming number of baseball fans who want to see Pete Rose recognized for his extraordinary performance in the game he so clearly loves.
The writer the people that would keep a star like Pete Rose out of the Hall of Fame Tell me Y'all whats in your closet? Are you with out sign are your garments white as Snow???? Hummm people wants to know please for the sake of all thats good do the right thing Foregive Pete
Pete's number of hits is the only 'hit record' that can't be broken no matter the quantity of drugs you take! Cooperstown isn't the baseball hall of fame until Pete is in.
I'll never forget the belly slide made famous by Pete that by itself, won many games for the Reds. The Big Red Machine was a true Power Team, seen maybe one or twice a century in baseball. As lead off batter, Pete was most often the ignitor of that power. Yes, he made a mistake by betting on baseball. I bet Mr. Selig has never made a serious mistake in his life that he needed forgiveness for, right Bud? Yeah, Mr. Selig. I bet you could withstand someone going through your entire life with a fine toothed comb, too, right? I bet there aren't a few cob webs in your closet that you wouldn't want the world to know either, right? You've never needed forgiveness for doing something wrong, right Mr. Selig? You may be the commissioner of Baseball, but I don't recall anyone making you GOD. Pete Rose brought more to the game of baseball than you will ever bring. You aren't even close to being in the same league as he, yet you act as his judge, jury and prosecutioner. Let Rose in the Hall of Fame. He earned it. He deserves it. You, however, Mr. Selig, have no right to block the will of the fans, and may God be your judge if you prevent the destiny of one of baseball's greatest players to be realized while he is still alive.
