The MCAS is not fair to the many students of Massachusetts. We shouldnt have to stay back just because we got a low score on the MCAS. Students who are straight A's or just good students shouldnt need to take some test to prove that they are ready to graduate school, it should be academic grades not the score of a test. We should still take the MCAS but we are taking the MCAS to see our strengths not to make us stay back. No MCAS to be able to pass school.

I support this petition. Passing our mandatory classes should be enough. To through a test in that is only good for the gov. and not for the student them self only leads to failure for quite a dozen. MCAS sucks, but it should only tell you your strong points. It shouldn't hold you back in high school because you are just weaker in something someone else is stronger in. Ridiculous rule.

I've gotten advanced on my MCAS every year, but I find them completely unnecessary. There are some who are simply poor test takers or become stressed out at the thought of taking a test to graduate.

I support this petition. I have a son in third grade and I think it is unfair to subject him to the stress involved with the MCAS. It is bad enough that the SAT puts so much pressure on students. Also, my son loses 20 hours of instruction each testing period, it is a waste of my tax dollars, another brillant idea from our wonderful government, NOT!

I support this petition. It really sucks that even mentally challenged students have to pass this test in order to graduate. This is going to make it harder for our country to rehabiliate mentally challenged people. Why? Mentally challenged people mostly can't read or write, how in the hell do these people expect them to pass this test? Now I would support the MCAS for 2 things: 1) If it wasn't required for mentally challenged students and 2) if it wasn't required for graduation. Because it'll just be another one of those test that determine where we are....
