Phish Tickets By Mail Plz Bring Back Money Order

We’ve developed this petition with the goal of helping fans gain greater access to purchase tickets directly from The Band, while further limiting scalper activity.
As longtime Phish Fans we’ve learned that little worthwhile comes quick and easy. The current solution for tickets by mail is simple and hassle free. Unfortunately, it's opened a door for scalpers to submit multiple requests, under multiple names, further fueling the illegal sale of tickets. Does a better solution exist to help fans gain access to tickets and drive revenue directly to The Band?
Perhaps the traditional system requiring money orders to be mailed-in deserves another look. The traditional Ticket-by-Mail system set a much higher barrier to entry and prioritized a fan over the opportunist. It required more time for completion, an upfront cash investment and attention to detail. This additional effort limited scalper involvement and helped ensure fans greater access to shows.
We’d like consideration or review of the old system that required money orders to be sent by mail, with a 2 ticket limit per person, per show. If The Band feels the old system was too problematic, we’d like to understand why.
There’s little we can do to affect change where we’ve been shutout for Summer ’09. However, through cooperation, refusing to pay scalpers and ensuring the tickets-by-mail system is fair and equitable we can enjoy Phish playing together.
