Please sign this petition to help let Phoenix City Council know how important our mountain preserves are to Phoenix and the Valley!

This petition will be sent to Phoenix City Council expressing we are opposed to the City of Phoenix\\\\\\\'s proposed budget cuts for the Phoenix Mountain Parks & Preserves.

Proposed budget cuts are:

\\\\\\\"Eliminate seven park rangers, resulting in closing mountain parks and preserves and gated trailheads at 7 p.m. daily. Facilities with gated access will not be open for summer holidays.\\\\\\\"

OR EVEN TO FURTHER REDUCE: \\\\\\\"Reduce (7) more park rangers assigned to mountain parks and preserves, further reducing hours at mountain parks and preserves to 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. City-sponsored, public and private events such as National Public Lands Day and the Pueblo Grande Indian Market will no longer take place.\\\\\\\"


Please help support the preserves! They are a unique and natural asset to \\\\\\\"Valley\\\\\\\" residents and tourism.

Petition will be emailed to City Phoenix Council, Friday, February 26th. Final decisions for City of Phoenix budget are made, Monday February 28th, so hurry and act soon!

I'm actually letting this petition stay active until Monday morning and then it will be sent to City Council. Hopefully then it will be on top of their emails sent to them.
