Pigs are very intelligent animals, and do not deserve the cruelty they recieve on factory farms. So please sign my petition to get them out of tiny metal cages and pens in dark dirty sheds.
Pigs like to keep clean, but in battery cages, this is impossible. A pig may never have his bedding changed in his entire life. Then they are brutally killed at the slaughterhouse. They are first stunned, then have their throats cut, though the stunning often doesn't work so they die in pain.
Please help stop this. We would like:
a) To ban battery cages and only allow open pens.
b) To totally ban killing pigs for food. They are to only be kept for pig shows and as family pets.

I support this petition 100%! And, U.S.A., PLEASE STOP cutting on live pigs and piglets NOW!!! Cruel factory farms should be outlawed (cutting on baby pigs). Then, when this (outrage) stops, I can worry about the other inhumane conditions (like too many pigs together, not enough space, freedom, etc.) First things first, we NEED to stop the torture. I support this petition with all my soul! I could'nt agree more with an outright ban on 'murdering' these beautiful beings for human consumption & instead give them their freedom! They don't want to be eaten! Love & respect them and put a stop to thier barbaric lives and don't eat them.

Pigs are proven without doubt to be smarter than dogs. Pigs like to nuzzle and love their young, but can't reach them when they are born due to the extrememly confined cell. Pig meat is bad for you, as pigs do not sweat and all the fat is in the meat. Battery pigs are brutally treated when young, getting thier ears and tails cut of with a blunt, dirty knife with no pain releif and then stuffed in their cage.
