I support this Petition. I think that the dog is what you make it. If you train a dog to be aggressive it will be and vice versa. Its ignorant to believe that a certain breed of animal is of less value then another; just as it would be to put labels on human races. What makes them different because they are animals. We are the most intelligent species on this planet. Lets start using are brains for more then HATE!

so Michael Vick can get off with just some fines but the entire breed will get even a worst rep because some asswipe decided to raise his dogs like that? It is not the dogs fault, just as we can't choose our families, dogs can't choose their owners. Owners should be screened throughly so the dogs don't suffer. We worry so much about humans but what about the dogs? What is really the difference between humans and pitbulls? We both are animals, we both feel, we both have emotions. If a child is raised as being aggressive and left in solitary confinment, which many aggressive pitbulls are, they are going to attack. We have plenty of proof supporting that, Manson, Gacy, Dahlmer, Pickton, and the list goes on and on. So why not punish the parents of anti-social children...maybe put them to death too? And banning because of a race already occured, it was called the Holocost, and how did that turn out? Not so good, huh? So what makes these senators believe that banning a breed of dogs is going to go over well with pitbull owners and just dog lovers in general. This is becoming a Genocide and last time I check the U.N. made Genocide Illegal.

I have 3 wonderful whit rednose American Terri pittbulls- they are the most lovable well trained dogs I have ever had. I feel it is the owners responsiblity to train these dogs with love and not force--they already have the force- they have nothing to prove--it is the owner who becomes inferior when they train these dogs to hurt. Maybe the owners should be put down and then the aggressiveness will spot. If we start now to allow the officals in office to band pittbulls--who's to say later it won't be humans they want to band next, because of their agressive behavior?? Now that is the Question?All dogs are born with an natrual instict to protect--we as their teacher's must raised them with love and they will naturally protect what they love and loves them!!!!

i will do anything to keep these breed.Just because there were some bad owner, who mistreated these loyal animal. the breed shouldn't be banned. They are over look easily jsu because of there history. this is jsut another case racism aginst a certin type of dog race. these dogs are heros too but the media doesn't wanan hear that. They are demend dangerous in the media eyes & the few that do good get over look. so take this to the head & understand where we all are coming from as pitbull owners

in our country dogfighting is to common or let as say public. lots of expectator very amuse when one dog retreat on the battle but 1/2 of the expectators are children even them they enjoy it, they even give money to the dog of thier choice. its to alarming to see a child enjoying blood sport like this!....the child may grow without no compassion and love to other people or even to animals...i myself see that dog fighting must be banned...and hold those who proprietors of this stupid sport!.

I absolutly do not agree with this bull shit!!! its crap. Dogs are pets not pieces f scoum thy should not be treated like this. Would you like to be treated like crap all the time because you bit one person just because he was trying to save someone. I don't think you do. I don't i know thatt for sure. because I have three of the most loyal and sweetest pit bulls around . they are great with kids . Don't get it wrong , if you mess with my little girl you will have a problem . plus sense they banned them from my county , their have been more people being bitten by other dogs , so don't punish the breed punish the deed.

I support this petition because i own 17 pitbulls and we interact our animals with the public everyday. We go to sopsered events with kennel clubs, and see hundreds of pittbulls that interact closely together and never have problems. Our saying is * "A BAD DOG HAS A BAD OWNER"*

I support this petition, if you treat it to be mean, it will be, animal or human. Stand up and take responsibility, we need to show the public and inform them of the bred and how beautiful they are. The only thing that is put in the media is the terrible !!

This breed was first used as a farm and ranch dog. PEOPLE exploited this breeds tremendous strenght of heart and determination but not the FACT that this breed was also a companion ban those that would use an animal for profit wrecklessly ignoring the consiquences. BAN STUPID PEOPLE NOT PITBULLS!!!!

obviously if you teach an animal to be an asshole he/she are plain and simple going to be assholes i love pitbulls they are the sweetest dogs in the world not mean at all it upsets me how ignorant people are ,i have a half huskie half lab who bites me all the time, whatever kind of dog you have raise it right pamper the dog like you would a little baby and you shouldnt have any problems,people should be a little bit more open minded ,maybe if ghetto low class people would stop teaching them to fight nad attack we wouldnt have this kind of problem,just take care of your dogs no matter what breed they are and stop complaining about pitbulls.
